They are angry because at some deep level they realize they are idiots. They are projecting their angry outward. Fools. Losers.
Sort of.
That may be something they realize, even at a primitive level.
But the thing thats really cooking them off is that after decades spent advocating, bullying, berating, demanding that something be done at the top of their lungs, the general public still couldn’t care less.
The most devastating response to these people (as raised in another article and thread recently) is to shrug, say “I don’t care” (ok, maybe point out that with gas prices dropping people are starting to buy big SUVs again) and go about your business.
Returning their fire just helps them validate their position and gives them a fight they want, are in fact eager for. Ignoring them fills them with rage.
