Jeb ‘Put Me Through Hell’ (Michael Schiavo)
Politico ^ | January 29, 2015 | Michael Kruse

Posted on 01/31/2015 3:01:48 PM PST by EveningStar

CLEARWATER, Fla.—Sitting recently on his brick back patio here, Michael Schiavo called Jeb Bush a vindictive, untrustworthy coward.

For years, the self-described “average Joe” felt harassed, targeted and tormented by the most important person in the state.

“It was a living hell,” he said, “and I blame him.”

Michael Schiavo was the husband of Terri Schiavo, the brain-dead woman from the Tampa Bay area who ended up at the center of one of the most contentious, drawn-out conflicts in the history of America’s culture wars. The fight over her death lasted almost a decade. It started as a private legal back-and-forth between her husband and her parents. Before it ended, it moved from circuit courts to district courts to state courts to federal courts, to the U.S. Supreme Court, from the state legislature in Tallahassee to Congress in Washington. The president got involved. So did the pope.

But it never would have become what it became if not for the dogged intervention of the governor of Florida at the time ...

Absolutely. I won’t vote for Jeb Bush because of Common Core, Amnesty, and Terry’s murder by the State of Florida.

He signed the bill that allowed the State to take Terry's life without a living will.

I really don’t get why you all are saying this. Did you read the article? He was on the side of the Schindlers from the beginning, and did everything in his power (and things not in his power, which is a separate, but related, issue) to save her. Michael Schiavo was the bad guy here, not Bush.

He got a law passed to grant him a stay of the court order and had her feeding tube reinserted. Then when that was ruled unconstitutional he took it to the federal level and W signed a law to take it to federal court.

What more are you expecting him to have done?

Terri, the Soros euthanasia trial run.

Michael, her butcher. Didn’t get it right the first time, so he just kept trying.

Jeb can’t catch a break can he? Michael Schiavo complains about Jeb and the other side still hates Jeb for the Schiavo issue.

Terri was murdered almost ten years ago. Do you really think this article is the only thing that was ever written about it, and that every word of it is true?

The truth is, Jeb Bush did not prevent her murder as he was obligated to. He played politics with her life, and the lives of everyone who have been similarly targeted for death as a result.

Well Terri couldn’t “catch a break” either-and after days and days of agony-she’s died.

Did you read the article? Jeb Bush did all he could to stop the murder but did not have power over the courts. He even wrote to Greer when he was not supposed to, pleading on Terri’s behalf. Made the murder husband mad as hell.

What should he have done?

THE GODDAMNED RIGHT THING

Put Terri Schiavo in the custody of her parents and tell that evil son of a bitch to go away or have him disappeared.

Funny how nobody except the Bushes and the GOP listen to what some degenerate queer in a black robe has to say.

Obama doesn't

Lincoln didn't

Putin doesn't

Chavez didn't

Castro doesn't

THIS IS WAR

THERE ARE NO RULES.

THE WEAK WILL BE ANNIHILATED.

Actually it was the million dollar settlement that Terri’s full-time care required and was disappearing quickly that lead to her murder and the new girlfriend.

The pure evil man had his brother and suster cook up a huge lie about Terri staiting she would rather. die after watch a movie !

The evil judge allowed this hearsay as evidence.
There was no living will .

That's what I thought should've happened at the time, too. But did Bush have the constitutional authority to do that?

or have him disappeared

I'm not sure this is the right country for you.

Seized her like the Johnson children in Arkansas and put her in protected custody, even to the point of witness protection. The AG’s office should have brought charges of attempted murder, and, then murder.

He should have done the right thing. He should not have participated in putting in a “law” that lets people who can’t speak for themselves be murdered through dehydration-(and it will kill a 100% healthy person), merely on the word of another person saying that’s what he/she wants.

Apparently it was "decided" that Terri would become a martyr through her torturous, cruel death. What a way to treat a helpless disabled person- And her parents had to watch the whole sickening murder under threat of arrest or being removed from the room.

Yep. It was all of that.

.

Your points were well noted in that Jeb was all in favor of stopping Terri’s death. Its just when push came to shove at crunch time Jeb didn’t take the last bold step and just side-step the wicked judge and lawyers ruling. If he did he would have been a hero in many conservatives eyes although it would have brought him much controversy as well. Sometimes the law is an ass and you have to kick it good when necessary.
