If they can provide safety and preserve history and culture, they could become ideal tourist destinations.

Xlnt idea. So let's see whether they can make such a lovely, benign, outcome happen. Putin, however, is rarely benign.

Maybe Greece could sell the Russians an Island or a Naval Base? they need one in that part of the world. A Russian Base might deture Turkey from moving against Greece.

If that's a double entendre, then yes, Greece would jump at the chance. If "no," then the Russkies are more likely to attack the United States before they do Turkey.

Aparrently that's what it takes to get rid of the EU. Actually, Greece might be a logical ally to Russia. They have an Orthodox tradition and like government to provide a lot of benefits. Neither one wants to give up their civilization to Muslim and other invasion. Greece has lovely warm-weather ports. Russia has resources. Two economically shunned countries might do well bartering for their needs. If they can provide safety and preserve history and culture, they could become ideal tourist destinations.

Wow - not enough sugar in the world to coat the turd that says Russia/Greece alliance would be a good thing for anyone but Russia.
