The phones did not have powerful CPUs in the first place, so even modest improvements would actually result in the user noticing dramatic improvements in their usage. AND ... Apple had actually demonstrated this improvement through gaming programs and photo apps that modified users’ photos.

There are a lot of things which are legal, but that various other people don’t support personally. And those people who do those things that others don’t support have the same rights as citizens as everyone else does. That the nature of our Constitutional rights. And these people are infiltrated all through our society, are protected and there’s nothing you can do about it.

No, I did not say that, What I said is the right to bear arms is a CONSTITUTIONALLY protected right. Bill Gates doesn't respect the Constitution of the United States

This country was founded for the freedom OF religion. I personally believe Homosexually is the worst kind of sin imaginable, and God will judge them. But it is not protected under the Constitution of the US. Tim Cook doesn't respect the Laws of God.

Do you also realize Bill Gates has built has company from stealing software from others?

He went into business with stolen software. So why do you support one of the biggest thieves on the planet??

Galatians 6:7King James Version (KJV)

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

He will be judged, just the same as Bill Gates.

Perhaps it’s program dependent.

I’ve read a number of articles that put the advantage Windows 64 bit had over 32 bit in the 10 to 20% range for speed, but there were some programs that had very high memory transfer requirements which were at the upper end of that range.

I’m not like those guys who pooh-poohed 32 bit systems back in the day when AMD has extra-fast 80286 CPUs. I just don’t think that the one-year headstart will make much difference except for certain programs for most users. In a year, both camps (and Windows, too) will all be 64 bit on phones.

I think that Apple will have the advantage with their iOS system, along with their new Swift programming language in taking advantage of the 64 bit processors. When looking at the specs and the processor speed increase, that’s amazing by itself ... along with the increase in the RAM to 2 Megabytes.

Apple does good marketing, because with good marketing, the customer is willing to accept that even with increased price, the product has a quality that is worth the extra money. The MacBooks are a primary selling point for Apple, but evidently, people who buy them are pretty into it. My Viewsonic is by no means the cheapest LCD, but it has lasted for 7 years, and is still good, it’s worth me buying it. The iPod touch was not the cheapest option of the gifts my relative got for me, but since it is now five years old, and still in good condition. I am not 100 percent pro-apple, but that is a good point about them in emphasizing quality, and satin that their products are worth the money to their customers.

If it was going to happen on this thread, it would have happened already, but you can dream.

Well, we’ll see. My Galaxy has 3 GB of RAM. Everybody will have 64 bit processors.

It’s entirely possible that Apple will have an insurmountable performance lead, but that would be due to software and developer tools (like Swift) rather than just a year’s lead in shifting to 64 bits... IMHO, of course.

Pretty much, but you can reduce the amount of money you spend on a computer by custom building your own. If someone prefers Mac OS X, there are even guides for building the Hackintosh, which I showed earlier.

Well, the RAM requirements are not the same between the two different platforms. But, in any case, it was doubled (to 2 GB). And the Swift programming language will obviously be tuned to take advantage of the 64-bit processing ... plus the fact that the iOS itself will be tuned to work with the programs in such a way to take advantage of it.

But, as you say ... we’ll see ... :-) ...

I know that someone can, by doing what you say ... but as for myself, I just don’t have the patience or the desire to do such things. But, that’s okay for those who do.

It’s like my cars, these days ... as I used to tear into them and do all sorts of work on them. I’m tired of that now and just want something that works, and someone does the work on it, when necessary. And there are a lot of people like me, when it comes to their desktop and iOS systems, too ... they just want something that works, without undue fiddling to get it done ... :-) ...

Custom building is really common among the younger generations. Plenty of college students do it. As a now 30 something I enjoyed doing it in high school and college, helped me understand a lot about the hardware and the operating system.

Yes we will. IMHO, you're not likely to have much luck claiming the high ground since it's already admitted that it's personal.

You have certainly made it that way with your obsession of Apple-hating on all the Apple threads. It can only be personal for you.

And for me, it’s definitely “personal” ... with my personal choice to use the best computer/phone/tablet out there, which is Apple and the Apple iOS ecosystem.

NOW ... let’s look at the “personal” aspect from your side and my side. With my side, I post how successful Apple is and how the consumer mass market is pleased with Apple’s offerings, including me.

With you ... you’re exercising your obsession in Apple-hating and continually disrupting those who are extremely pleased with Apple, as their personal choice.

Your “personal” ... is in need of psychiatric help, while my “personal” is the very essence of the free market system that we support on Free Republic ... :-) ...

Sounds ridiculously petty. I wouldn’t have thought twice about it considering the source.

In the real world out there .... of business, one can’t afford to let a silly comment tossed around online to derail you.

I hope you can seek solice somewhere and stop being a menace.
