Left-leaning documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has come under fire from conservatives over his criticism of "American Sniper," but it turns out his cold war with the biopic's director, Clint Eastwood, started ten years earlier.
Moore took to Facebook to confirm a report on Salon that Eastwood had threatened to shoot him during the 2005 National Board of Review dinner. Moore had been in attendance to receive an award for his scathing indictment of the Bush administration, "Fahrenheit 9/11," while Eastwood was being honored for "Million Dollar Baby."
"Ten years ago this past week, Clint Eastwood stood in front of the National Board of Review awards dinner and announced to me and to the crowd that he would "kill" me if I ever came to his house with my camera for an interview," Moore wrote on his Facebook page late Thursday about the Jan. 11, 2005, incident.
"'I'll kill you," Eastwood declared, according to the post.

My point.
Yep. Just a wee bit left of center. LOL!
:”}
Moore doesn't have mental problems. He has bleeding heart socialist/communist ego-centric emotial instability problems, as do most socialists. His self worth is built upon putting capitalism down, much like the hippies with their idiotic and unworkable commune habitats that would quickly dissolve. No incentive; no work. So the hippies left.
Moore has NO understanding of the basic concepts of freedom, capitalism/free enterpirse, self-determination, self-accountibilty, self-defense, integrity, honor, et al. He's a childish punk that hasn't learned to get past his own crap so glomed on to the Hollywood socialist ways to make himself feel more important. Apparently, that has reaped large rewards with his numerous homes and huge assets.
Waiting for the day that someone in the MSM asks him about his monetary largess and if he still stands behind his documentary, "Roger & Me".
I like eastwood more and more each day.
Something that struck me when I finally saw his “chair” performance on youtube, was how fine of a live stage performance it was, he is a true artist.
I've always been a big fan of Eastwood. Now I want to worship at the altar of his awesomeness!
and right on point. still valid today
Exactly. I cannot cut and paste on this tablet, but as you said, Moore ambushed Mr. Heston, who had Alzheimers.
Michael Moore is somehow trying to gain sympathy for himself but he just keeps digging....
Pathetic—and disgusting. Well, you said it, garbage.
I’m going to add something else.
Grand Torino started out as a good movie, I didn’t see the big deal but it was Eastwood and looked interesting, but as the movie progressed, it kept growing and getting more focused and intense, it built into a great movie and finished spectacularly.
That just isn’t the way that most movies work.
Now, would someone please paint "Goodyear" on his ass and send him up.
LOL!!!
What Hollywood powerhouse director/actor with a 60 year career, makes their greatest, most intense and realistic film that the public loves and which breaks box office records and which makes him the toast of the town and absolutely relevant and current, and the talk of the town from pundits to water coolers, to VFW halls, at age 84?
Can't wait to see this new one.
I guess I’m supposed to think less of Eastwood or something... didn’t work.
it is absolutely unacceptable that ANY former special forces of SEALs choose to serve as private security for this man . If anyone is known to be in his employ they need to be immediately OUTED , and their fellow spec ops warrior community should have words with them .
Some things just aren’t worth the dough .
Would any Vietnam combat veteran have served as a bodyguard
for Jane Fonda ? I think not . So what’s the difference ?
Gonzales: Why do they call ya “Dirty Harry”?
De Georgio: That’s one thing about our Harry, he doesn’t play any favorites. Harry hates everybody. Limeys, Micks, Hebs, Niggers, Honkies, Fat Daigoes, Chinks, you name it.
Gonzales: How does he feel about Mexicans?
De Georgio: Ask him.
Callahan:(says with a wink) Especially Spics.
Instant classic.
