Walker will be alright. Not great, but alright. Remember,
Wisconsin is the birthplace of American socialism. Wisconsin is full of Mexicans. Still, I would vote for him before Cruz. Just because he’s a Governor, and not a Senator. I don’t want another Senator. Senators are all hat and no cattle.
Romney today:
“I believe that one of our next generation of Republican leaders, one who may not be as well known as I am today, one who has not yet taken their message across the country, one who is just getting started, may well emerge as being better able to defeat the Democrat nominee. In fact, I expect and hope that to be the case.”
It’s very clear that he is describing Scott Walker in this speech, and not Jeb Bush as the NYT and many frreepers conclude.
From what I understand about Walker's record, you should find a lot to like about him.
Walker will be on ABC This Week show on Sunday 2/1.
So right. We must coalesce around a conservative candidate early or the libtard Pubbie will win again. As I see it we have three top tier conservative candidates. Well at least two. Cruze, Paul, and Walker. The rest of the litter should bow out now. Most are good men and women but they are long shot’s at best. If they stay in all they will do is split the conservative vote and give Jeb or Christe or some other libtard the nomination.
Well he is my governor. But he’s a little milquetoasty for my taste. But with the bigger problems of the deficit and other ticking time bombs, he may be what’s needed if he can grow a pair.
That litmus test has a solid track record - it gave us a 2nd term of Obama and will give us a follow on of Hillary.
I like Palin too but I’m not sure that she (or her family) can withstand a full-on media assault. They will stop at nothing to destroy her, and her run at VP was a cake-walk compared to what is coming should she enter the race.
Dr. Carson is a good guy, smart and capable, but again I’m not sure that he’s got what it takes to win a protracted campaign where they will be gunning for him. He won’t get the wide berth that Obola got.
If he’s your governor, you must know him better than I do, but from what I’ve read about the threats, intimidation, and thuggery surrounding his fight with the unions, “milquetoasty” would be the last adjective I would expect to hear about Walker.
The Lovin' Spoonful - Did You Ever Have to Make up Your Mind?
The lyrics are spot-on.
Well, in the early parts of his administration and a little bit after the fight with the unions, he would hide behind his spokespeople, throw some people under the bus that he easily could have defended. He never once came out and addressed the hundreds of his supporters who held rallies at the Capital during the union astroturfing. Gov. Palin even came up to rally the troops during a sleet storm in 2011. Gov. Walker didn’t want to be seen with her. He’ll have his picture taken with Gov. Christie, on the other hand. So, it’s just my observation. And knowing how character shines through in quiet moments and public ones, Walker is a little shaky, as far as I’m concerned.
Thanks for the info.
True enough.
