I don’t know how the concept of “grit” is being used here. However, the concept is a legitimate one, and can be useful in education.

Identifying who succeeds as a result of persistent effort, and why they make those efforts is valuable. Encouraging students to emulate the thought processes and behaviors of students with grit increases success in school (and in life, in general).

Here’s a clue — Doudenal and Lakisha La La La get A’s for not snitching on Dwantrell who just shanked Dwight. As Dwight bleeds out on the front lawn awaiting an amberlamps, the school celebrates its commitment to diversity.
