Honk Honk!
Good morning.
Today is the beginning of the nose bleed stage. Only lasts a
few days, three or four.
But oddly, I have not had any nausea this session.
I had one morning after the first session where I felt slightly
seasick, but I took a single anti-nausea pill and haven’t had a
touch of it since.
The Lord has blessed me with a cast-iron stomach to go with
my cast-iron constitution. LOL! ;-)
God Bless you.
And you, Sir.
That’s wonderful, TOL. (other than the nose-bleed part) :)
"For all the 4th Generation of War intellectuals running around today saying that the nature of war has fundamentally changed, the tactics are wholly new, etc., I must respectfully say,
Not really:
Alexander the Great would not be in the least bit perplexed by the enemy that we face right now in Iraq, and our leaders going into this fight do their troops a disservice by not studying studying, vice just reading the men who have gone before us. We have been fighting on this planet for 5,000 years and we should take advantage of their experience.
Winging it and filling body bags as we sort out what works reminds us of the moral dictates and the cost of competence in our profession."

That cast-iron stomach can be a real blessing. Praying these next few days go by with as little discomfort as possible.
It isn’t so bad, really. Just a few spots. :)
"That said, there are some - in the world that just need to be shot.
There are hunters and there are victims.
By your discipline, cunning, obedience and alertness, you will decide if you are a hunter or a victim.
Its really a hell of a lot of fun. Youre gonna have a blast out here!"

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he neer so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accursd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispins day.William Shakespeare, Henry V
They told me that the first session is the worst, and that is proving
to be the case. I’m doing all right, which surprised me because I
expected things to be much worse.
I do look very funny with 1/8” long hair, though, and it’s still
falling out. I comb my hair in the morning with a tacky roller to
catch all the hair that’s falling. LOL!
I cut it short because it was leaving a trail of hair behind me when
I walked anywhere. And I hope that the beauty salon that has it
now will make a nice wig for someone. I’m not wearing a wig.
I have hats!
"You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil.
You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway.
So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them.
Actually it's quite fun to fight them, you know. It's a hell of a hoot.
It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right up there with you.
I like brawling."
