Breitbrat ^ | 1/26/15 | Jeffrey Poor

On Monday’s broadcast of “The O’Reilly Factor” on the Fox News Channel, retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer of the London Center for Policy Research revealed to host Bill O’Reilly that sources tell him U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl will face charges for desertion.

Bergdahl was held captive by the Taliban-aligned Haqqani network in Afghanistan from June 2009 until his release in May 2014, which was part of a prisoner exchange for five Taliban members who were being held at the detention center at Guantanamo Bay.

In addition to the five high level terrorists?? No wonder Hagel had to go, someone has to take the fall for this and it just can’t be The One.

I don't believe it. The Obama administration can't allow the whole story to be revealed.

PING!

Desertion in time of war - I seem to recall something from the UCMJ about that - Death by Firing Squad?

I approve of that, but what about the punishment for those who engineered the swap for the five high-value Taliban terrorists? Aside from the release of those confirmed terrorists, the Obama Regime essentially put out a contract on any any serving military personnel who may fall prey to the terrorists.

Thanks——that amount of money makes no sense to me.

But——knowing Obama who knows?

Wiki

The maximum U.S. penalty for desertion in wartime remains death, although this punishment was last applied to Eddie Slovik in 1945. No U.S. serviceman has received more than 24 months imprisonment for desertion or missing movement in the post-September 11, 2001 era

So, Obama sent 5 terrorists home in exchange for deserter. Seems Obama is doing nothing but aiding the enemy. When do we try him for treason?

Maj. Gen. Kenneth Dahl deserves credit for this finding, he headed the investigation of this traitor.

Yeah...well, I'll wait until I see the report.

I strongly suspect that obama influenced the report, to the point of extreme mitigation, so that any punishment will be minimal.

And the good Major General is probably still thanking his lucky stars that he is going to be allowed to retire as a Major General.

(No pun intended.)
