Sarah Palin appearance at Freedom Summit was a total crowd-pleaser: FULL SPEECH
The Right Scoop via CSPAN ^ | 1/24/2015 | soopermexican

While Scoop has done a good job of debunking the rumor that Palin said she was interested in running for the presidency in 2016 already, some are saying she hinted at it in this speech. Whether she did or not, she packed it full of puns and zingers and really pumped up the crowd.

‘I watched the entire Palin speech.

She hit on every theme we believe in here on FreeRepublic.

It was not incoherent, she was not drunk, she did not ramble.

It was entertaining, and that is her informal style of speech.

I would rather have that level of reality and honesty than trained speakers who are polished but say nothing that they actually believe in.

And let us not forget—a large part of the GOP victory in 2010 and 2014 was due to her early adoption of primary candidates, more so than any other single Republican.

Even McConnell and Boehner dod not get their @sses in 2014 and push for GOP wins-—but Palin sure did.

She is the next Ronald Reagan.

I would love to see a Palin/Cruz ticket in 2016, even if we have to start a new party to run them.

After all, the GOP-E has already telegraphed that their choice is Bush with a side helping of Romney.

MY view of that is uncontrolled projectile vomiting.’

You are right on.
Most of the PDS folks have shot their wad.
Sarah Palin gets the crowd and the applause, and the votes to elect the conservatives she supports with her time and her hard earned money.
And thanks to the OP for giving the print out of the speech.

Fortunately I am not stuck in that rut. I have no “fellow” Republicans, not being one such myself. From outside here that 11th Commandment looks to be terribly one way. Most of the campaign money spent by the Gopes is to trash conservative Republicans and last time around most of the candidates got into the same mode. Republican voices and Republican money will be used to the maximum extent to bury Conservative Republicans. If there is any left over it will be spent not trying to actually get elected.

The theme was she is kicking off her campaign and she laid out the path to victory.

Yes. Whether it's her own campaign or one in support of another candidate, she gave definite signals to those who have ears to hear that she plans to be heavily involved in 2016 AND AVAILABLE if she determines the path to the Presidency is there.

The ending was inspiring.

To this household, it was perfectly executed.

She is the only one who can win.

If you mean the only "staunch conservative" who can win, it would be between SP and TC.

Waitin' and seein'.

HOW has my posting on this thread about Palin's speech on Saturday been TWISTED into an anti-Cruz comparison?!

Beats me. I never said it was. I just thought Cruz sounded better and did better.

I was right. Your mileage does vary!

From Bigtigermike the other night:

"The FR clowns says that Sarah’s wasted, that she’s a idiot and that she needs to go home and raise her kids but they are the first ones that would want to lose ‘honorably’ as the left goes full throated savaging their precious Republican candidate"

I'm a voice coach. I pay attention to how she's doing. She nailed it Saturday in Iowa.

At first I was a little disappointed as I expected more of a formal speech. The more I thought about it though, the more I agree with your comments. I keep thinking of what that reporter from the Anchorage paper said soon after her VP announcement in 08, "Sarah Palin, she's a political savant." She knows what she's doing. I think she was channeling Ronnie a bit with the humor and the 'real person' conveyance.

Remember her Indianola speech? More of those on deck I'm sure. Now everyone waiting for the next speech.

If she's running, she needs to get a ground game going soon and announce by at least May with a One Nation bus tour in every one of the lower 48 states this summer.

“Anyone that’s willing to stand next to me to fight the Progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you’re not in that bunker because you’re not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you, you’re on the other side.”

Breitbart, if he said this, was wrong. The Republicans you have been electing are complicit with the Democrats in maintaining the Party's power at all costs. They're not fighting the other Party over principle or ideology any longer. And it's been a while since they have.

Vote Constitutional conservative only.

Sarah’s speech had its moments, but I felt it was a little too colloquial, and somewhat meandering. As well, too much sarcasm. It wasn’t tight enough, by any means. Nothing like her Wisconsin speech. And her line about asking a woman if you want something done, silly. I’m sick of the Homer Simpson stereotype. Bob

I believe we all know the 11th Commandment...and it is surely misplaced.

No ill words would allow Cryer and Gobbler to continue to act as king, go-along-to-get-along without repercussions. No thanks.

WHEN (if) the GOP were to ever nominate someone whom would do ANYTHING to reduce the size of gov’t, focus and FOLLOW the Constitution, then and ONLY then, would I even think of voting for ‘em.

Actions over words. There’s no reason to believe, because of a letter of party affiliation, they are owed any seat at the table of power....my vote belongs to NO Man whom does not earn it.

There was an unspoken corollary: “once the nomination process is over.” But today, with the Boehners and McConnells and McCains of the world despising us, it’s impossible to bite our tongues. Bob

I agree. She was totally incoherent regardless of what these Kool-Aid drinkers think.

Ted Cruz is far better in almost every way imaginable. Well, except for attractiveness.

Ted Cruz 2016!
