A senior State Department official on Saturday claimed that there is “nothing religious” about the Islamic State’s reported execution of a Japanese hostage.
Rick Stengel, an under secretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs, took to Twitter to condemn the killing of Japanese hostage Haruna Yukawa, who has been held for ransom by the terror group along with Japanese freelance reporter Kenji Goto.
“Brutal criminal murder of Japanese citizen #Haruna Yukawa by the terrorist group #Daesh,” Stengel tweeted after IS released video of the killing. “Nothing religious about it.”
Stengel’s apparent refusal to acknowledge that IS’s radical Islamic beliefs played a role in the execution comports with other recent statements by Obama administration officials, who have refused to use the terms Islamic extremism or radical Islam when discussing the issue of terrorism.

Can you imagine the mental problems inherent in these govt employees? You either go along w the dem party line (”nothing religious”) or you leave. How anybody can any sane person can spout their bosh and nonsense is beyond me. This is solid proof our govt is run by deranged mentally unstable people?

This is an example of the FALSE WORLDVIEW that Obama and his administration has. Instead of seeing things as they really are, Obama makes up a narrative as he wants to maintain that “it should be” ... and he calls that “real”.

These idiots need to be addressed as apologists for Islamic terror as often as possible.
And will this person be subject to a sanity test, an impartiality test, or some sort of truth test by an incoming Administration? This mindset, if left unchecked, would wreck any attempt at a change of policy. It is representative of everything that is bad about our current system in terms of wrong policy and left-leaning policy and is the reason for the ratchet of policy always to the left.
Remove them from power or put them in a job counting cow farts in order to reduce climate change.
This mantra of “it’s not Islam” is much like a Buddhist mantra, a religious chant mention to clear the mind. It’s increasingly chanted as it becomes ever more obvious that it is Islam that’s at the core of the problem. Without the religious core, the fighters would not be so ruthless or willing to die.
They actually expect people to believe this lie.
The sad thing is that too many people do.
