The Obama administration reportedly is fuming over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plans to address Congress in March regarding the Iranian threat, with one unnamed official telling an Israeli newspaper he will pay “a price” for the snub.
House Speaker John Boehner invited Netanyahu -- and the Israeli leader accepted – without any involvement from the White House.
In public, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest politely describes this as a “departure” from protocol. He also says the president will not meet with Netanyahu when he visits in early March, but has attributed that decision only to a desire not to influence Israel’s upcoming elections.
But in private, Obama’s team is livid with the Israeli leader, according to Haaretz.
"We thought we've seen everything," a source identified as a senior American official was quoted as saying. "But Bibi managed to surprise even us. There are things you simply don't do.
“He spat in our face publicly and that's no way to behave. Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price."

My guess would be Obama has been interfering in the Israeli election and he is looking to drum up an excuse.
Obama is just helping to establish the fact that Israel is the leader of the Free World.

Possibly; but I think they get set in their ways and don’t want to ruffle feathers. They have become friends with the dems and I really don’t think they fully see them as part of the problem. Boehner spent years playing pool with the dems .. because he could smoke at the pool parlor. Sadly, I believe it has tainted him. It may take him some more phone calls and letters before he gets his act together.
You are correct in your assessment of the Congress. They really do have a lot of power .. they just don’t have the courage to use it. I know it’s hard to have a media who always chews you up over everything you do .. but it’s time to grow a thicker skin and just get your job done.
It’s still too much of an “old boys club” .. and the repubs need to understand that today’s citizens are not going to put up with such juvenile actions.
The whitehouse now resorts to open threats in an attempt to enforce their will. What dolts.
I’m not sure that Americans - we, the people - are at odds with Israel. The little boy blue in the White House may be, but for me, I just recited the Schma Israel in Hebrew. And for what it matters, I’m Christian.

It may already be too late, but you Democrats are the only people who can stop Obama. Contact your Democrat Representatives and US Senators and tell them to stop Obama from punishing Israel. Obama's creating the conditions for nuclear war. Is that what you voted for, when you still believed in "hope 'n change"?
You can stop Obama on this by joining Sen. Bob Melendez-NJ. But you must take action.
