WILMINGTON, Del. — A man arrested shortly after gunshots were fired near Vice President Joe Biden's Delaware home says police officers beat him up.

Fifty-seven-year-old Rock Peters of Hockessin says New Castle County Police officers left him with a swollen nose, rib injuries, cuts on his face and a black eye. Photos that Peters says he took of himself afterward show his face covered with blood and bruises.

Police declined to comment.

So any, and I mean ANY questioning of the police, their behavior and actions is an indication of “prejudice”?

I question each individual instance and do so critically...

So stuff your assertion that just because I challenge the “story” I’m prejudiced against police in general.

Good for you that you’ve not been stopped...but you honestly believe that simply running from the police “deserves” a beat down?

Oh, I read it. He was charged with reckless endangerment and resisting. But between the anti-cop media and the anti-cop Freepers, G-d forbid you say the guy caught a beating that he actually deserved.

Oh, I read it. He was charged with reckless endangerment and resisting.

Then you:

A. Know he didn't fire a gun in a residential neighborhood; or
B. Can't read; or
C. Will do or say anything to defend cops.

G-d forbid you say the guy caught a beating that he actually deserved.

Do you think it's a government union goon's place to dish out beatings?

"...the guy caught a beating that he actually deserved."

Until the police or someone else releases photographic evidence of this guy fighting or attempting to fight the police, I don't see how giving some old codger a beatdown meets the definition of reasonable force in an apprehension.

What are your thoughts on the guy in Texas who was "beatdown" and tased by the cop a few weeks back? Did he "deserve" that beating because he was "resisting"?

Police tase 76 year old man/a>

Um, in my state shooting a gun randomly in the air is reckless endangerment. It just means you aren’t shooting it AT someone in particular, which would be attempted murder.

I saw that. I believe that if a cop asks you a simple question about your expired insurance you may just want to answer it and not walk away and then flail your arms like a jack-ass. In short, stop fighting just because you know you're wrong.

However, it never should have escalated to that level. If the guy wants to walk away, go ahead. I'm gonna sit right here by your car and have it ticketed and towed. Good luck getting it back because you didn't want to have a 30 second conversation like civilized people.

The News Journal reports that Peters is not charged in the shooting. He faces charges of reckless endangering and resisting arrest.

Rock Peters, 57, was not charged in connection with the shooting incident,...

Again, nobody is saying that this guy was responsible for shooting. Nobody, but you.

You're smart enough to be a cop.

"Police documents said Peters did not cooperate and that he almost ran over the officer who made him turn around, prompting more officers to stop him over on Lancaster Pike. Police documents also said Peters fled from an officer near the Biden estate in Wilmington and scuffled with two officers."

There's your reckless endangerment in Delaware.

So, this guy fired a gun in a residential neighborhood and then resisted?

Let's try this again.

Nobody is saying the guy fired a gun.

I found an article that actually contained information. The guy wasn’t happy the road was closed. So he almost ran over a cop and then resisted when the cops were finally able to stop him. Hence the reckless endangerment charge.

So, you were wrong is post 53. That’s why I suggested you read a little.

But, you’re not too good at admitting mistakes.

Allegedly. That poor cop...having to step back while the guy turned around (as requested). It must have been horrible.

No, I’m just good at changing my thoughts once I’ve gotten relevant information. And from the beginning, I stated I could have been wrong due to the lack of competent reporting from the linked article. The anti-cop media is quick to point out that the guy wasn’t charged in regards to the shooting. They just happen to leave out the fact that this little bitch didn’t like being delayed a couple minutes, almost ran over a cop, and then fought two of them. But yeah, let’s keep harping on the fact that I didn’t have all the info at the beginning.

Lots of crooked cops in NY agree with you.

By the way, what do you think of the cops who left him laying in a pool of blood? A tenant had to call for help and a squad car picked him up and took him to the hospital. One of those cops said “If I’d have known it was Serpico I’d have let him bleed to death.” Would you consider those cops garbage?

Cops keep acting like Nazi wackos and they are going to turn the public against them even more.

I’ve said this before, but our rule of law stands upon the public’s trust and respect for the law and cops are the front line of that.
