Well, I don't know about the battery part, but an electric motor makes a hell of a transmission.
But they'd have to have their own formula. Let's see, two drive motors, AWD independent rear suspension, a 200lb small displacement turbo engine putting out about 800HP...1 good sized battery.
Might work.
