ABOARD THE PAPAL PLANE — Pope Francis is denouncing what he calls the "ideological colonization" of families and the developing world, where he says progressive, Western ideas about birth control and gay rights are increasingly being imposed by groups, institutions or individual nations — often as a condition for development aid.
No, he said, Catholics don't have to "be like rabbits" and have more children than is safe or responsible.
The Pope said there are plenty of church-approved ways to regulate births. But he said most importantly, no outside institution should impose its views on families.
Speaking to reporters en route home from the Philippines, he said: "Every people deserves to conserve its identity without being ideologically colonized."

Here he gets it right that natural birth control is good, although using the insulting language of the alternative "breed like rabbits". If anything is countering the demographic collapse of the west, it is productive families.
And then he gets something right again when he says "Every people deserves to conserve its identity without being ideologically colonized."
And then he goes and takes a giant leap backwards, completely obliterating the previous point, showing solidarity with the illegal invasion of the USA, saying that he'd love to pull off an idealogical stunt.
May Francis's power over the opinions of the people of the world be limited!

This Pope talks too much. He reminds me of the current US President.

Those verses in Romans about respecting the government and obeying the laws apparently are not operative for this pope.
They’ve been replaced with “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”.

Frankly, I have started wondering if he is anything.
I don’t practice Catholicism anymore, and it’s because of communist idiots like this awful pope and his “American” cardinals and bishops.
If the pope is so concerned about the poor, perhaps the Vatican should sell off some of its art treasures. Not likely.
