Actually there are a number of mistakes in Bray’s commentary. I think that Mohammad’s main fight was against Jews and pagans. It was not until the crusades 3 or 4 centuries later that Christians became such a major enemy. There had been lesser clashes in Egypt against the Coptic Christians, successful; against Constantinople; against Spain; and against France, unsuccessful. The Arabs had been busy invading Persia, and fighting the internal battles that have resulted in Sunni and Shiite.

His efforts began in the 600’s, not the 700’s (8th Century). Under Mohammad’s laws only his wives were required to have full cover. His first wife was a successful business woman, and I strongly suspect left the house when she needed to. There are many Muslim laws on exactly how you should live, as are similar to Jewish laws. They both go into detail on what and how you can eat. For example cutting off the right hand of a thief is a more terrible punishment since it means you cannot eat from the communal pot or tray. The left had is used for body functions (good sense in a culture short of water), and the right hand is for eating. People following such rules of living and washing hands 5 times a day for prayer probably died a lot less from diseases. Thus Islam grew and survived. Christianity does not have this level of detail.

Oh, my. And here I thought the non-profit American media was the information delivery system for Wall Street banksters, the New World Order, and the Bilderberg group.

Well, who ARE they delivering information for ?

I hardly think they “report to” Islam.

Take the Washington Post. It was controlled by the Meyer family from 1933 to 2013, when it was purchased by Jeff Bezos.

During those 80 years, it would be utterly nonsensical to think that muslims had any influence at all on the paper.

As far as who they DO “deliver information for”, one would obviously have to study the family connections of the Grahams.

But don’t do that, because you’ll start learning about new world order.

Better to not know who controls the news media.

Nothing to see, here, they’re just legitimate business people plying their trade. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

What I don’t quite understand is why we should support the Keystone XL Pipeline when the price of oil is so low that it is beginning to put US fracking companies out of business. I have heard the argument that even though a lot of the Canadian oil passing through our land will be exported, we should support it because it will help bring down world oil prices. But lower oil prices threaten to really hurt our own fracking industry. ????

We also have to stop the system that has everyone rushing at the end of the year to spend all money budgeted. If there are significant activities that are not finished, there should be a mechanism for determining that carrying over those funds makes sense. Also, a particular year’s spending should not be the basis for the next budget, but rather the important tasks that need doing or are unfinished.

That was exactly my point. The groups I mentioned have nothing to do with Islam or communism. The Frenchman is confused/misinformed/or deranged. There are SMALL segments of the NON MSM who probably do have such connections, but they are mostly preaching to the choir, so lack influence.

Currently yes, when you talk to those in the oil business especially those at the very top, they see this lower spike in pricing as a year or year and half scenario at the most.
Viewing it in that light they will cut back some but have to be ready to bring back full production which does not happen overnight when prices begin to escalate again.
I have a good friend who is buying anything related to big oil as fast as he can and as much as he can.
This guy is so connected the likely hood that he's wrong is small.
Also market share is far more important than ever. Those producing and selling don't want to lose any market share at all especially the big guys, the ruskies, Saudis, us, and a few others.
ON Keystone we refine Venezuelan oil since it is heavy crude and hard to refine.
If we could be refining Keystone heavy crude instead of Venezuelan oil the world would be a better place.I don't know if that's how it would work but why would we refine heavy crude from Venezuela,a country that has already nationalized what we built and a confirmed enemy, when we could refine Keystone oil from Canada a confirmed ally?

Problem is Islam is a made up cult co-opted by all the wrong people. It's never been a religion and never will be. By the way you let me know when all those moderate muslims are taking up arms against the terrorists. Seems they are scared sh_tlees over having their heads cut off by whacked out brainwashed nutcases who just need an excuse to kill and conquer.

No, like I said, it's the democRATs.

What you mentioned is their deflection/deception ruse.

About the history of the spread of Islam, well, you may wish to take another look. You say the early fight was mostly against Jews and Pagans, and that’s true for a FEW years—in the Arabian Peninsula, but once the Islamic invaders reached Syria/Palestine and Egypt, well, almost all the inhabitants were Christians.

And the Egyptians were pretty much ALL Christian, Coptic or otherwise, and Islam conquered them; converting many, killing not a few, and dhimmituding the rest. I doubt many Christians in Egypt saw the struggle as a “lesser clash”. Same in Syria, Palestine and Babylonia. After Egypt, all of North Africa, once Christian, was forced into Islam.

Many people seem to forget just how Christian the Roman Empire and it’s remnants became toward the end of the Empire. This included ALL the Roman/Greek areas of the Middle East. Constantine made Christianity first an official religion of Rome around 310 AD, and then later, over the next two centuries, it became THE Religion of Rome. This happened at the end of the Roman Empire, but the spread was pretty much throughout the Empire until it fell; battered by invading gothic barbarians and a few centuries latter, invading Islamic hordes.

Well, that’s cheering news. I guess I can hold onto my BP shares for a while longer, but make sure my next car is high milage. Regarding the heavy crude refining, wouldn’t it make sense to have refining capacity along the Canadian border somewhere, clean up the dilbit and pipeline a much safer product? Every time we have a gulf hurricane, I wonder how bad Texas refining will be hit this time. Also, how much danger is there of a tornado at Cushing and how resistant to severe winds are the oil tanks there?

Regarding the moderate muslims taking up arms against the terrorists, isn’t that kind of what is happening in Iraq now. fighting ISIL, and Shiites and Sunnis kicking the shiite out of each other. I don’t know how moderate the non ISIL folk are, but they definitely are fighting the terrorists.
