Exclusive: Conservative Leaders Draft Mandate For GOP: Stop Obama’s Fundamental Transformation..
breitbart ^ | Jan. 15, 2015 | Matthew Boyle

Conservative movement leaders are unveiling the mandate they say Republicans have heading into this new Congress, after voters gave them a majority in both the House and Senate for the first time during President Obama’s tenure.

The document, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, details how the conservative leaders expect Republicans in Congress to “stop” Obama’s “fundamental transformation of America,” something they say the American people made clear in the 2014 midterm elections with such resounding GOP victories.

“The November 2014 election was a repudiation of the complicity of the United States Congress in President Obama’s dramatic and unconstitutional expansion of government,” the document’s introduction reads, before listing several major expectations the American people have of Republicans as this new Congress begins.

Signers of the mandate document include columnist and former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy, New York Times No. 1 bestselling author Brad Thor, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, ConservativeHQ’s Richard Viguerie, Eagle Forum’s Phyllis Schlafly, Family Research Council executive vice president and retired Army Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, Secure America Now president Allen Roth, nationally syndicated radio host of American Family Radio Sandy Rios, Election Law Center’s J. Christian Adams, Center for Security Policy’s Frank Gaffney, Americans for Limited Government’s Rick Manning, author and speaker Tim Daughtry, American Family Association president Tim Wildmon, ForAmerica president David Bozell, and American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp, along with scores of other signers.

”… after voters gave them a majority in both the House and Senate for the first time during President Obama’s tenure."

I question that if the 17th Amendment had not been ratified, state lawmakers foolishly giving up their voices in Congress by doing so, if a Senate controlled by 2/3 conservatives would have been willing to remove a House-impeached Obama from office a few election cycles ago.

CONSIDERED A MUST-DO -—From Mark Levin’s book The Liberty Amendments (on Amazon).

1. Term limits, including for justices.

2. Repealing Amendment 17 and returning the election of senators to state legislatures

3. A congressional supermajority to override Supreme Court decisions (overruling what could be a stacked court)

4. Spending limit based on GDP

5. Taxation capped at 15%

6. Limiting the commerce clause, and strengthening private property rights

7. Power of states to override a federal statute by a three-fifths vote.

"THE LIST"---The treasure trove of "The Midterm Democrat Demolition Derby" and down-ticket state wins have yet to be fully- mined, but this we know:

<><> REPUBLICANS WON STUNNING, HISTORY-MAKING ELECTORAL VICTORIES

<><> midterms were a massive and awesome rejection of liberals;

<><> Southern Democrats control not a single governorship, US senator or legislative chamber,

<><> Democrat losses stretch from the Carolinas westward to Texas,

<><> 110 Of 140 Southern States election districts went Republican.

<><> GOP's House majorities are so huge and solid NBC's Chuck Todd says Dems can't recapture losses until 2022.

<><> Some pundits say Republicans have a 100-year majority;

<><> when the next US Senate convenes, 30 lock-stepping Democrats who voted for Obamacare are gone.

<><> Ark and Ill (Clinton hometowns) have Repub governors---important in a prez race b/c guvs control party machinery.

<><> Unprecedented MINN 6th Congressional district---every single House and Senate district went Repub

<><> GOP now controls the MINN State House.

<><> Ohio's historic GOP statehouse takeover (Gun Control is toast)

<><> Ohio's Gov, Lt. Gov, AG, Secy of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer--all R---Sup/Ct - 6 R/1 D

<><> Britt Hume: "latino vote is zilch"---"over-50" is significant 30% voting segment.

<><> Republicans unified control: gov/legislature in 23 states (Ntl Conference of State Legislatures factoid).

<><> Repub governorships: Florida, Tx, Ill, Ohio, Mich, MD, Wisconsin, NC, GA, Mass.

<><> GOP holds every congressional seat in Arkansas; first time in 141 years...

<><> Environmentalists fogged out---suffered huge losses.

<><> Gun Control Candidates blitzed.

<><> "War on Women" became a ntl joke.

<><> Clinton's labeled politically useless---most candidates they flacked lost.

<><> Montana, So/Dakota and West/VA Dems were forced to retire; no hope of getting re-elected,

<><> Arizona House recount race went Republican.

<><> AZ Republican McSally wins last open House seat (Dem Gaby Giffords seat),

<><> Repub McSally's win gives GOP 5-4 advantage in AZ congressional delegation,

<><> Repubs hold 247 House seats (Dems 188), the largest GOP advantage since the Truman admin after WWII.

<><> 73 percent of LA's white voters say told they "strongly disapproved" of the president.

<><> Republicans hold the largest House majority in 83 years.

<><> Republicans holds 68 of 98 state legislative chambers.

<><> 2015 Republican grip on state government has not been seen since the 1920s.

<><> Republicans hold or share control in nearly every state (7 states' legislature and Governor are Dem-held).

<><> 12 states, including Missouri, Arizona, Arkansas, NC will push income tax cuts and fiscal reform.

<><> Illinois’ new Repub Governor’s top priority is reforming its nearly-bankrupt public pension system.

<><> Vermont Democrats allied w/ VT conservative Repubs to ward off voter backlash

<><> controversial and seemingly incompetent VT Democrat governor did not get the requisite votes to stay in office.

<><> VT poised to install Vermont's first Republican governor in over four years

<><> Republicans now control two-thirds of the state legislatures.

===============================================

SUMMING UP: Obama was politically castrated by enthusiastic midterm voters.

FREEPER ACTION ALERT: Any and all communiques w/ the new Congress should include "The List".....you should photocopy it by the gross, and pepper Congress with it ...... including GOPE's, RINOS, etc.

Proposed Repub reforms include

<><> lowering taxes,

<><> financial accountability,

<><> restricting the commerce clause,

<><> restraining the judiciary,

<><> Repealing the 17th returning the election of senators to state legislatures, and,

<><> clarifying and amending Constitution to its original intent

<><> Closing constitutional loopholes created by calculated liberal attacks using case law.

======================================================

As FReeper Publius posted: The federal government follows the Constitution to the letter. Unfortunately, it's the Living Constitution, the Constitution symbolized as a Tree, the Constitution that evolves with the times even though its words never change, the Constitution of penumbras and emanations, that the federal government follows.

When the federal entity goes beyond the Constitution's words to govern by penumbras and emanations, then the states should modify the words by amendment to restrict what the federal government can and cannot do. phrases like “shall not” and “can not be infringed” are cloudy in their meanings. It’s time to take away their self designed exemptions and selective enforcement for their fellow oligarchs.

They need to live according to their own laws under Sections VII - IX. It’s called “case law”, or “precedent”. When you build an edifice of case law, you modify and change the meaning of words until they mean something that is quite different from their original intent.

In a major suck-up to illegals, Oboma "announced" he was issuing an
E/O and planned a "signing ceremony" at a Las Vegas gathering of
illegals. E/O and signing ceremony never happened.

Obama was photoed signing "memos" on AF One---not an "executive action." Why? B/c an E/O comes w/ legal baggage that the conniving Boobamba wanted to evade. Both "memos" are now on the Whitehouse website.

The scam works this way: signed Boobamba memos "delegate" to federal agencies orders to come up with plans (that must advance Boobamba's global conspiracy to overthrow the US govt w/ Third World federales and their cadres jumping the US border).

The federal agencies then "invent" Committees to do this (the better to overthrow the US govt). Then "Administrative Rules," after a comment period, will be published in the "Code of Federal Regulations," which magically turns them into law........ using federal fairy dust.

So Boobamba is shielded from responsibility---he doesn't have to take the hit. Behind closed doors, he tells federal factotums what he wants.....and faster than you can say "the combo plate w/ extra hot sauce".....the overthrow of the US govt commences.

====================================================

THE "DELEGATION" HORROR STORY--A Federal agency MO since 1946. It's down to a science: (1) publish a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), (2) make the comment period really short, (3) stonewall any negative comments, and, (4) publish the rule, which (5) NOW has the force of US law. No Congressman was ever involved, and Boobamba doesn't leave his DNA on it. Yet again, why "Delegation" is ominous for liberty---why the writing of administrative law by federal agencies - is un-Constitutional. (Thanks to FReeper Regulator's info.)

===================================================

FREEPER ACTION NOW: Write your governor; call your state attorney general. Nullification means power to the states and power to the people.

The judiciary has consistently ruled against the nullification doctrine, asserting its unique, judicial right to declare laws unconstitutional. But this executive order isn’t a law. And given its extremely shaky legal footing, it isn’t difficult to imagine a federal bench recognizing the states’ right to disregard federal orders that don’t clearly have the force of law.

And that would be a tremendous — tremendous — blow against the executive’s assumption of legislative powers.

But in the shorter, more direct term: It would force the Obama administration to go on offense, perhaps suing the states to enforce a law........ that isn’t a law.

AS OF TODAY---25 states have joined in the nullification action.

Virginia is a perfect example of why the 17th amendment is truly evil. The VA state legislature is overwhelmingly conservative. If the 17th amendment were to be repealed the VA state legislature would replace both of our current Democrat lunes with sold Conservative Republicans. The 17th and the 16th A’s need to be repealed.

Ok, a lot of good folks their giving the Johnny B a blueprint, what we want, and what should have been their platform. Do you think he will listen to them or K-Street and the Chamber of Cronyism? I think you know the answer. Unless they are willing to walk and consider letting the RNC go the way of the Wigs and be done with this carnival it is wasted breath.

The whole process seems upside down and backwards. The GOP takes the House and Senate. Then, after that happens, a group of activists, none of whom seem to be those who ran and were elected, decide to write a list of issues that they feel are the reason the politicians were elected, after the fact? It seems to indicate a weakness in the GOP “leadership”.

Just playing the devils advocate here, but that would work equally the same in a liberal controlled legislator. I don’t get the difference other than the LIV would no longer vote for Senators.

"Please tell this layman what the advantage of repealing the 17th amendment would be."

The Founding States had established the federal Senate partly for the following reason. Senators were elected solely by state lawmakers for the purpose of protecting the interests of their respective states in Congress.

For example, senators could kill House appropriations bills which the House could not justify under Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers. After all, such bills signed into law would ultimately end up stealing 10th Amendment-protected state powers and state revenues associated with those powers.

In other words, the 17th Amendment has helped to foster the growth of the unconstitutionally big federal government by allowing low-information voters, voters who have probably never been taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers, to elect federal senators who promise voters constitutionally indefensible federal spending programs.

There's the beauty in the repeal. The Dems are crammed in just a few counties. They are screwed in a scenario where the state legislature elects Senators.

Either way we have a redundant democratically elected legislature right now at the Federal level. Either ditch the Senate or repeal the 17th.

Well, this is kinda encouraging.
Sort of like Newt in 1994 Contract with America.
Back then, Newt, Bob Barr, Tom the Hammer, and others, were conservatives who would go toe-to-toe with the bent one, and the left.
However, I fear this time the 47% low info voters are more adle brained, and emboldened with strong entitlement, then twenty years ago.
Furthermore, our nat’l debt is now at an unaddressable $19 Trillion, thanks to Obola and allied leftist Bass turds.
Clinton and the MSM readily marginalized Newt and conservatives in less than a year of conservative landslide wins.
Gotta wonder / hope if it’ll be any different this time.

Exactly. The tyrant thinks he can continue to dish out freebies to those who help the community organizer to the highest office in the land. He has had two appointments to SCOTUS and has radically changed the federal judiciary.
