I’m happy that this guy did what he did, but I don’t know why something like this is played up as him being a “hero.” He did the decent thing. He should be admired for that but it seems like we are celebrating what should be commonplace in society.
Only in the case of the death merchants at Gitmo or a traitorous wretch like Bergdahl.
(I know you included justice and common sense but this is of course a presidency at war with such concepts.)
Am glad they’re doing that....after 7 years in France he applied last year for citizenship...so with all considered they’re doing a good thing by this fellow....and should do more IMO.

No. However, I could imagine them doing something incredibly stupid really fast.

He is now privileged to pay an 80% income tax.
I had a public school teacher say it was a privilege to pay taxes. The IRS calls it a contribution.
