The president will also call on Congress to offer six weeks of paid administrative leave. If a federal employee wants to burn their sick leave for maternity I am fine with that. Its their leave and they own it.
But granting admin leave is insane and will only lead to employees further abusing their sick leave balances for golf and shopping.
Heck if I put my liberal hat on I would call it discriminatory since no gay men will be able to participate.
