Democratic lawmaker introduces plan to give middle-class Americans tax breaks at expense of wealthy

A senior U.S. House Democrat unveiled this week an aggressive agenda to boost workers' paychecks by shifting significant tax breaks from the wealthiest Americans to the middle class.

The plan from Representative Chris Van Hollen has almost no chance of passage by the Republican-controlled Congress but is aimed at shaping Democrats' policy vision for the 2016 presidential election.

The Maryland Democrat's plan calls for an annual 'paycheck bonus' tax credit of $1,000 for individuals making less than $100,000 a year and $2,000 for married couples making less than $200,000 and would be funded through a new fee on financial transactions.

The Democrats have been successful playing to the dark side of human nature. Appealing to greed works but creates chaos. The Democrats are agents of the evil one.

He’s a Maryland liberal freak. I think we should put a 50% tax on all liberal incomes to pay for their stupidity.

” would be funded through a new fee on financial transactions.”

This the KEY people, they want to TAX your money when you get paid, (Income Taxes). They want to Tax your money when it arrives at the Bank, (Financial transaction fee). They want to re-tax your money when you buy something or pay a bill, (Sales Taxes, Utility Taxes, etc and the Financial Transaction Fee).

It’s a GENIUS idea! Two more taxes on your money and you MIGHT get a Income tax break.

A lot of people will just say, “Why should I work anymore? The Government just finds new ways of taking it from me. I might as well go on Welfare and get on the gravy train and I get to sleep in late besides.

From an economic standpoint this is one of the stupidest things ever proposed.

From a political standpoint it’s a slam-dunk winner. The sheeple will eat this up.

The Dems and their Lamestream Media love ever higher taxation. Notice that they can't stop even after the second Shellacking.

Obama never wants to stop screwing with the internet even though it alienates the youth. He says he will veto the Keystone Pipeline even though it will alienate the Unions.

All I can says is - Please Keep it up Dems! Keep it right up until you cannot return.

Taking money from rich Democrats to buy the votes of all the other Democrats.

Won’t work—but I’LL BET IT WILL SELL!

It will tap into the great unspent well of anger that nobody on Wall Street appeared to be held responsible for the ‘09 debacle. As a political strategy it is brilliant. The electorate (most of them anyway) will eat it up.

I don’t think the US Constitution says anything about one class of people being designated to subsidize a BIG government that benefits another class of people. This crap is un-American and unconstitutional. It has to stop.

Ummm - math check: don't folks making less than $100K a year also make less than $200K?

Looks like I'm in for a $3K bonus...

funded through a new fee on financial transactions.

And if everyone would stop making Electronic Transactions and go back to CASH, none of this would be possible.
