JFK like Clinton didn’t much care about anything but screwing around with everything in a skirt. LBJ and Carter were both racists, Carter was just a little better at lying about the facts.

I agree with your comments on Clinton and Carter. I've mellowed a bit about JFK. Yes he was a skirt chaser extraordinaire. He was also a strong supporter of the military and used tax cuts to spur economic growth. I believe he acted properly with regard to segregation in the South. I think his vision to see us land on the moon was gifted.

Do I have problems with him? Yes. The womanizing reveals the man IMO. His father taught this behavior. It was despicable.

I don't see JFK as the type of traitor Clinton and Obama were/are. He would see Jimmy Carter for who he is. I don't think he would be at all comfortable with what the Democrat party has become.

It’s documented history that Carter made deals with the Klan to get elected governor, but they don’t teach real history in school anymore.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit. IMO Carter is a total fraud. He's no Christian, by any stretch of the imagination. He only worked for Habitat for Humanity to re-image himself.

Wallace was racist too, but he was honest enough to come out admit it. All are/were democrats and corrupt, but of those 5 Wallace was the only honest one and the only one that ever changed his views on race.

Exactly right! Good for you, for seeing Wallace for exactly the man that he was. Many demonize him and have no idea that he struggled with his beliefs and changed. I have to say I respect that a great deal. I do find his early actions despicable, but I believe God approved of the Wallace the man became.

In my opinion MLK was little better than Jessy Jackass, he just was better at polishing up his act. MLK made sure the riots didn’t start until he had left town to make another speech somewhere else.

I believe that MLK was flawed. I do not see him as Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton. In MLK's day, there was a need for a man to stand up and lead. MLK did that. Was he the saint folks see him as today? In some ways yes. In some ways no. I don't believe in the MLK holiday. Perhaps there's something to be said for a racial equality day. I don't believe in naming streets schools or other entities after him.

IMO, having a MLK day is tantamount to racism is and of itself. We don't have a White man's day, a Hispanic holiday, an Asian holiday or anything else like this. It's wrong.

I'm uncomfortable celebrating the man, but comfortable with celebrating what binds us as a people. We should be one people. We should not be White, Black, Native American...

That being said, we should each respect our heredity, but at the end of each day, it is what ties us together as a people that must trump. Perhaps a day of officially recognizing that each year would be good.

Of course the Left would sabotage it and turn it into a divisive day each year.

Literacy tests would keep a lot of whites from voting.

That’s not a problem. I’m all for it. I doubt have the people who voted for Obama, and many who voted for Romney, have no idea how many supreme court justices there are. Bottom line they should be able to pass a citizenship test.
