In a rare public admission of error, the White House said Monday the U.S. should have sent a high-level official to an anti-terror march in Paris that was attended by more than 40 world leaders. represented Sunday by the U.S. ambassador to France, though Attorney General Eric Holder was in Paris for security meetings. "It's fair to say we should have sent someone with a higher profile," White House spokesman Josh Earnest said. Secretary of State John Kerry was on a long-planned trip to India on Sunday but now will visit France later this week. The White House appeared to have been caught off guard by both the display of international unity at the Paris march and the criticism of its decision to be represented only by Ambassador Jane Hartley. Monday's admission of error seemed aimed at blunting criticism that the decision was tone deaf or disrespectful of the long U.S. alliance with France, a country set on edge by three days of terror that resulted in 17 deaths.

Agreed. Every WH staff operations check out these world leader meetings / summits carefully. They did not want to anger muslims. Once they saw the march was a yawn without muslim outrage then they regret not going.
HE just wanted to shoe the Muslims that it isn’t the whole civilized world ganging up on them, the US is still on their side.
The only purpose of the march is for these leaders to act like they care, so that the heat will die down, and they can return to “business as usual.”
At least everyone knows that Obama doesn’t hate the French, or he would have sent back the Statue of Liberty long ago.

The only reason I saw, was to wave the white flag and change the emergency alert to Yellow. Looked more like an Apology and Appeasement Rally.
Actually I am thankful beyond measure that the narcissistic commie muzlim pig 0dumb0sh_t was not there (or Bite-me Biden, or John Effn Kerry, etc). The last thing we would have needed would have been photo ops of 0dumb0sh_t hamming it up for the cameras, and destroying the solemn moment.
