NORMAN, Okla. – A spate of mysterious booms has been shaking a city in central Oklahoma.
Oklahoma Geological Survey research seismologist Austin Holland says a series of thunderous booms rattled the Norman area at 11:19 a.m. Friday and that numerous more were reported in the same place around the same time Thursday.

sometimes ‘the booms’ indicate geological changes occurring and sometimes not.

According to the same story from AP that has been ruled out.
“There are some stories going around that’s what it was, but based on the research we’ve done here, it doesn’t appear what people heard is related to the cryoseism phenomena,” Day told The Norman Transcript. “There’s not enough moisture, and the temperatures are not cold enough. That happens in areas where you have a lot of water flowing through a lot of rock,” Day said.”
I heard a series of fairly loud booms quite early in the morning...aka after midnight here in Northern California some months ago
they did not sound like..collisions...nor earthquakes they sounded like quiet...depth charges
I havent talked to anyone else hereabouts who may have heard them.
I did not call 911..
I DO wish that someone would come forward with a decent recording of the booms in Oklahoma.

Possibly a correct “ruling”, but I always rule out complete acceptance of the veracity of government employees -— particularly government employees who also try to advance the canard of “global warming”.

A buddy of mine is a Sooner fanatic. I’ll blame him. LOL
This happens with trees too. It gets so cold the water in the tree freezes and expands, splitting the trunk. I walked through a wooded area last winter and all you could hear was the wood cracking. As it was night the whole thing was kinda creepy.
