Dunkin’ Brands Group will open more than 1,400 doughnut shops in China over the next two decades, the Canton-based company said Thursday.

Dunkin’ said its agreement with Golden Cup Pte. Ltd. is the largest development agreement in its 65-year history. The company, which currently has 16 outlets in China, said the first restaurant under the new agreement would open in late 2015.

I do like their iced dark roast. Even their garlic bagels, they’re not the old school NY Jewish kind, but they’re actually pretty good.

It’s ‘average’ coffee. I think we’ve all gotten use to premium or gourmet type coffees now, and prefer to pay extra to drink premium coffee.

I know a retired cop who did an excellent restoration of a yellow and blue 1974 Dodge Monaco the NY state Troopers used, right down to the original police specs unique to these cars, the first “Sunoco Specials”. Whenever he brings it to a car show he puts a huge Dunkin Donuts box on the front seat as a gag ;)

It’s likely a matter of taste but the “regular” hot coffee comes across as weak and ice coffee rarely appealed to me. I do prefer darker roasts, however.

Good for the Dunkin' Donuts firm and wishing them luck!
Love their coffee and glad an American company is expanding.

There's at least three primary words for doughnuts in Chinese:

One of them is yuán huán tú

I suggest they keep the first part of Dunkin ("Dun") and name the Chinese brand Dun Yuan Huan. (Or just an Americanized "Don Juan" for short)

CIA is behind this, our secret war will kill all the plumped-up chinamen with clogged arteries in due time. McDonald’s and KFC will be up for a medal, too!

Dunkin’ Donuts locations are popping up all over southern California and they’re becoming quite a hit out there. I grew up in Connecticut and I’ve never thought their donuts or coffee were all that great.

LOL! That's Canton, MA (pronounced "can-tin") and not Canton, China (pronounced "can-taun").
