Two people have been killed in a Kosher store in eastern Paris where a ‘heavily armed’ Islamic terrorist is currently holding hostages, police believe. Sources in the Paris force said the suspected murderer was Amedy Coulibay, 32, who is wearing body armour and brandishing two Kalashnikov automatic weapons. He is said to be working with a woman called Hayat Boumeddiene, 26, who is also said to be ‘armed and dangerous’.
Shots rang out close to the Porte de Vincennes while the two brothers believed to be behind the murderous attack on the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine were themselves hold up north of the capital.
‘There is a hostage situation – shots have been fired,’ said a Paris police spokesman, who said up to five people were originally being held in Vincennes, and there were ‘believed to be two fatalities’.

Perhaps the owner of the grocery store went too far by dealing in kosher foods only, without selling halal foods. This lack of open mindedness will only insult and anger Muslims.

Problem is now where does your average Frenchman go to get a weapon? I am sure they don’t have guns stores or any Cabela’s like we do. Black market and military is your only option.

Good point. More troubling is whether the average Frenchman has to resolve to defend himself, or if the average Frenchman is now a Muslim.

Not completely, but the government is excluding the National Front from the unity display of all other parties even though the FN received over 20 percent of the vote in the last election, and, now France 24 is reporting that authorities have directed that Jewish businesses in the Marais (the Jewish Quarter in central Paris) close due to the terrorism threat.
Wouldn’t it be easier for France to ship all the Jews to a camp of some kind?

Well, Jewish emigration from France has increased dramatically in the past few years, while Muslim immigration has increased so the government has made a decision of sorts.
Logical conclusion.
France has strict gun laws. If you need a AK or hand gun, you have to go to a mosque to purchase one.
