The suicide of the transgender teenager Leelah Alcorn rattled the L.G.B.T. community at a time when many celebrate the progress that’s been made in gaining acceptance and respect. In a note posted online, Leelah spoke in anger of her parents’ rejection of her identity for religious reasons and their efforts to take her to so-called conversion therapy.

I say it’s abuse to entertain the stupid notion of “trans” kids.
Enabling some sort of body identity dysfunction IS child abuse. Whether the sufferer feels they should cut off limbs, genitals, or starve themselves to death.
They need serious, legitimate treatment to get them to feel like a human being, acceptable to their own body.

Ripping your kids away from a cult can have dire consequences. They are mentally ill. I am not sure what a parent can do in this case to retrieve them. The real abuse started long before.
If they can’t drink alcohol until they are 21, you certainly shouldn’t go rearranging body parts or giving hormones and such to kids.
All this stuff is such horse puckie. Let the kid grow up naturally and keep your anxieties out of it.
I thought depression and mental illness were chemical imbalances of the brain according to shrinks? How can parents or other people alter another person’s brain chemistry?
Its child abuse to not provide the necessary psychriatic treatment for such a child. Only recently have these perversion been granted protected special privilege status. They were understood to be mental illness and people were offered medical help. That we do not give these sick children the help they need is the child abuse.............
No. They commit child abuse by indulging an impossible fantasy to the further detriment of the child.
"Transgender" people have a greater than 50% suicide rate, and it is obvious to any objective and rational person that there is a deep seated psychological problem at work in such cases. "Transgenderism" is just a symptom of the real problem.
They have to get kids someplace for all those wonderful new “families” created by same-sex marriage.
I know a bunch of little girls who went through a phase thinking they were “kittycats” when they were little kids—does this mean that their parents should be reported for animal abuse now? Ridiculous.
