Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn said he hopes his GOP colleagues hold off on a vote to fully repeal Obamacare until after Republicans have shown they can govern.
“I think it’s important that we demonstrate that we can be productive before we have the inevitable fight over repealing Obamacare,” the Texas Republican said in an interview with CQ Roll Call Wednesday. “We are going to have that vote. But my own preference would be we have it after we’ve been able to demonstrate that we can actually get some things done.”

We tried to primary Cornyn.
Deep pockets he bought radio ads for 6 months before the primary.

And just when will that be? Thus far, you get a FAIL grade from me. But then if you are talking about “chrome plating turds,” you may be o.k.
Prove you can govern by repealing obamacare.
The EXEMPT are proud THEY, their families and staff,
and Moslems, are EXEMPT from the “law” (and taxes)
they passed for EVERYONE ELSE.
The GOP is disgusting in that THEY invented
ObamaCARE/grubercare/DEATHCARE/Romneycare,
and now will do ANYTHING to have it remain ... for others.
I keep hearing that bleeping phrase about wanting to “govern.”
Someone has to remind these petty butt-kissing a-—oles that they are elected to REPRESENT...not govern, whatever than means.
The contrast between Cruz and Cornyn could’t be more stark. I despise this pasty ass relublican’t.

I would pay dearly to see Cruz deck him.
I don’t know... Maybe, as some of the Obamacare mandates kick in this year, folks will really start to feel the pain of it and even the libs will get wee-weed up about it. It might be good for folks to get good a taste of this medicine before we flush it down for good.

Uh...getting the main thing done first shows you can actually get things done.
Are you familiar with the presidential veto?
Maybe or mabe not.
But there is some logic to building relationships with others by passing legislation not so confrontational before going to a major battle.
Dealing over less confrontational matters also gives one the opportunity to see who can be trusted and who can not be.
Obviously obummer care can not be allowed to grow and sink its roots so deep that there is no going back, so the battle can not be delayed much longer, but it makes sense to have a few minor skirmishes before the big fight.
These are just weasel words to justify getting nothing done.
What this means Mr. Cornyn is that you have no ability to lead. You doubt you can get anything done.
On that last point, I also agree.
