Ten people have been reported killed in a what appears to be a terrorist attack in the offices of the Charlie Hebdo satire magazine on boulevard Richard-Lenoir in Paris (Paris XI). A policeman has also been wounded.
At least 2 or 3 gunman are believed to have been involved, shooting Kalashnikov rifles.
According to La Figaaro, the gunman are on the run after a shootout with policemen.
The magazine has published anti-ISIS and Prophet Mohammed cartoons in the past.

We knew this day was coming to a major city somewhere.....and its the French who are the ones who are catching the hell.....and insulting them is totally uncalled for.

Heard WH press secretary Earnest make some comment this morning about this being radicals and not being true Islam. As long as that apologetic mentality continues we are at risk. Yes, we know this isn’t the majority of Muslims, but these people control large pieces of real estate now, control oil fields, are trying to get nukes, and have millions of followers around the world - and we continue to allow radical Imams to preach their hatred, and the West continues to bend over backwards to apologize for a religion that appears unwilling or at least incapable of cleaning its own house.
It should not come as a great shock that FR has a bunch of posters who devote exactly zero thought to their posting. Contempt and cynicism rules for way too many, seasoned with unfailing pessimism.

Right you are. A proper response to this horrific event should be prayer, and calm resolve.
Yet some folks see it as an opportunity to make snide remarks about the nationality of the victims. That's just pathetic.

If I were the President of France, I'd wait a day. Then I'd go on national TV and draw a picture of Mohammad. Nothing crude, just a picture of Mohammad. And I'd encourage every elected politician down to mayor to do the same.
That would be a bold expression of freedom, and very much in the spirit of Charles Martel.
(Of course, nothing of the sort will actually happen.)
