Fight on Guns Is Being Taken to State Ballots (the enemy in their own words)
NY Slimes ^

WASHINGTON — The gun control movement, blocked in Congress and facing mounting losses in federal elections, is tweaking its name, refining its goals and using the same-sex marriage movement as a model to take the fight to voters on the state level.

....

An initiative seeking stricter background checks for certain buyers has qualified for the 2016 ballot in Nevada, where such a law was passed last year by the Legislature and then vetoed by the governor. Advocates of gun safety — the term many now use instead of “gun control” — are seeking lines on ballots in Arizona, Maine and Oregon as well.

Those assholes have LOST, and we’ve wiped the floor with them again and again at the ballot box and in congress. I hope they keep fighting, because the more they fight, the more progressive candidates that support their failed cause LOSE!

By all means, PLEASE.... BRING IT ON!

They have no choice. They have to disarm the free people of America before they can force their Marxist agenda down our throats. They will not give up. But Americans are refusing to comply. So they will have to resort to force at some point in the near future.

Gun advocates should take a page from the homo marriage proponents. Have an open-carry citizen of Arizona relocate to New York and sue the state to honor his status from Arizona. Move on to Massachusetts. Move on to the rest.

It's not the gun control movement, it's the people control movement. It's not 'gun safety' either. Taking away guns from the lawful citizens doesn't make them safer. In the end, it's all the same. It's people control.

Like the ballot measures in states where the public votes to not allow homosexual marriages, but some liberal judge thinks better than the public and says the new “law” is unconstitutional, they will find an angle that circumnavigates the constitution.

"In the end, it's all the same. It's people control. "

Needs repeating, this is the unvarnished truth of it.

Balance that win in Washington against the continuous tide of big losses, such as Illinois. They do have a good chance in already anti gun blue states on the ballot. Most red states, not so much.

gun owners are advocates of gun safety. as in how to use their guns properly.

libtard gun safety is still about disarming law abiding citizens. can’t be safe with a gun in the house.

Well, I’m not willing to underestimate their tenacity, and will be funding the fight and running the bumper stickers and preaching the message.

I wrote a major column in the early 1980’s about “gun safety” for several newspapers in No. Va and Baltimore, but never got a single critique/comment from the anti-gun lobby.

I advocated for a mandatory sale of a gunlock with any weapon bought. They cost $10.00 and I still have mine on my weapon 30 years later, and it works nicely.

Apparently “gun safety” was not one of their priorities during those past 3 decades which says more about their warped leftist priorities than any concern they may have about personal safety.

I've been forced to pay for several of those stupid things; and, I have never put one on any of my weapons. Thanks a lot, you "infringer".

So they will have to resort to force at some point in the near future.

Of course they will.

But the unintended consequences of their efforts is that now the half of America that stands for the Founders'Republic is better armed, better supplied, and better trained for armed confrontation than we ever have been.

Then you are on the wrong website, FRiend. I thought FR was pro-freedom.

A weapon with a gunlock on it is absolutely useless in opposing deadly force, either from a criminal or a totalitarian government.
