Ever-eloquent Mario Cuomo, a son of Queens who rode his rhetorical gifts to three terms as New York governor and tantalized Democrats by flirting with a run for President, died Thursday, two sources close to the family said. He was 82.

Cuomo passed away six hours after his oldest son, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was formally sworn-in to a second term in Manhattan. The elder Cuomo was too ill with a serious heart condition to attend.

So Mario the Pious has assumed room temperature.

No doubt there is already a pitched battle between the cathedrals in Manhattan and Brooklyn to see who will host the obligatory Abortion-Fest. Will Barack and Moochelle be there? Of course, Andrew Cuomo and Nancy Pelosi will Communicate.

Cardinal O’Malley will fly in from Boston or Rome, ready to slobber on Joe Biden’s, John Kerry’s, and Obama’s shoes.

It’s a tie between Mario the Pious and Cardinal Bernardin. In the mid-1980s, they tag-teamed coming up with demonic rationalizations for supporting abortion.

If you can’t speak well of the dead don’t - and so I won’t.

But I will, he was a no good wop from Queens, who championed abortion and had Bishop Austin Vaughan beaten in the Albany County jail because he exposed Mario’s true colors.

Andrew is just as big a scumbag as Mario, the road apple did not fall far from the tree.

Hey Mario, how are your speaking skills working for you as you face your maker?

Maybe you and Teddy Kennedy can bunk together...

In Cuomo’s case, there is no reason to follow the general rule. Speaking well of Mario Cuomo is an attack on human civilization. It is to blaspheme Jesus Christ and the True Faith.

He was vicious, hypocritical, corrupt—just plain evil.

He was not pro-abortion out of cowardice. He was a leader, a pioneer, a demonically creative, blasphemous pro-abortion propagandist. His pro-abortion propaganda all CENTERED on the fact that he was a “Catholic.” He devised demonic “Catholic” reasons to support abortion. To standing ovations at Notre Dame and other Catholic venues. Like Bernardin.

He went after pro-life pregnancy-aid centers as though they were a string of brothels employing only syphilitic prostitutes.

When it comes to promoting pro-abortion voting by Catholics, Cuomo and Bernardin were in the same league. I cannot entertain the notion that they are not now in the same place.

There are no friends in Hell. Everybody in Hell hates everyone else, with a fury and intensity that is beyond our comprehension.

He spawned an evil stupid son, Andrew Cuomo, who with little or no financial experience & by way of patronage became HUD Secretary & was responsible for Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Subprime Loans, the Housing Bubble & one of the most largest financial crisis the country has ever faced!

Just needed to set things straight for the record....

Great mixed metaphor.

Cardinal “seamless garment” Bernardin was certainly an extremely effective heretic. Probably the single worst bishop in the American Church, since he managed to hide his true colors better than most of the other heretics, while starring in the press as their favorite go-to.

Mario the Pious Resurrects 40-Year-Old Anti-Catholic Crusade (2005) http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2005/08/09/mario_the_pious_resurrects_40_year_old_anti_catholic_crusade

...RUSH: By the way, I'd like to read something here, ladies and gentlemen. Mario the Pious as we just aired on our sound bite from Sunday's Meet the Press with Tim Russert, said, "Everybody takes an oath to support the Constitution, including especially judges. So why not ask them, 'Will you, judge, apply a religious test to the Constitution? Will you start by saying, "I'm not going to support the Constitution if my pope tells me not to?"'"

May I read to you from Article 6 of the Constitution? "No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." Right there it is in Article 6 of the Constitution. So if some pack of Senators on the judiciary committee decides to take Mario Cuomo's advice here and start asking Judge Roberts about whether or not he will apply a religious test to the Constitution, whether he'll do what his pope says or do what the Constitution says -- (interruption) Well, they were. Mario was one of their candidates at one point.

In fact, Clinton was thinking of putting him in there to get him out of the way. Remember that, way back in the mid-nineties? They locked heads because, if you go back to the early Clinton governor days with Gennifer Flowers, he's heard on tape telling Gennifer Flowers that Cuomo is like the Mafia and so forth. There was some strain between those two and some thought they had put him on the court just to get rid of him, because once you put him on the court you can't go make public speeches and get in the way...

>> Now we have to listen to a bunch of people pretend they loved him and how great he was. <<

Heh. I had to listen to a bunch of conservatives do that when Ariel Sharon and Judy Baar Topinka died. The history revisionism on the twitter obituaries made it sound like they were describing George Washington instead of a couple of backstabbing traitors.

Mario Cuomo is dead. No loss there except perhaps to his family. He was Mr. “Give away the store” while governor and unfortunately left behind his evil amoral son to rule us all.
