A discussion of Fox News’ The Five Tuesday afternoon surrounding the ongoing tension between New York City Mayor Bill be Blasio and local police unions following the murder of two NYPD officers last week led co-host Jesse Watters to a seriously hyperbolic declaration about the idea that police could be seen as racist.
The Five hosts Eric Bolling and Kimberly Guilfoyle were discussing what they see as a lack of “respect” for NYPD officers from Mayor de Blasio and other officials where Watters jumped in with his assessment.
“Everyone is saying that the NYPD is racist,” Watters said. “If the NYPD was actually racist, when someone called 911 from a black community, they just wouldn’t even go in. They’d sit there on the perimeter and let them shoot each other.”
He continued, this time trying to draw a distinction between African-Americans and Chinese-Americans. “There’s some beef in Chinatown, and the NYPD goes to Chinatown and busts some Chinese guy, roughs him up, I don’t see all these Chinese guys out there on the streets protesting,” Watters said
To the protesters angry about the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, Watters suggested that instead of calling the police when their cars get jacked, they should try calling Al Sharpton. “Maybe Sharpton can help them out with that, right?” he joked.
Besides the fact that Watters’ scenario is a hypothetical that didn’t happen as opposed to the Brown and Garner killings, which are real, there is no evidence that police are killing large numbers of unarmed “Chinese guys” every year in this country. Perhaps if they were, you would see that community up in arms.

So, the police are racist regardless of what they do when it comes to black “suspects”.

Sidebar: The NYPD — and police departments all over the country — should have busted the Occutards, and all of them should have been prosecuted for vagrancy, no bail, spend some time with the local gentry behind bars. Newark (NJ) cops are just standing by; many of them are black, Hispanic, etc. - does that make them racist?
I know this sounds awful but I have always wondered why cops bother putting their lives on the lines for these animals as long as the violence stays in their own neighborhoods. If they want to kill each other, let them. Now, if they kill an innocent kid or spill over into civilized neighborhoods, that’s different.
It looks like if they kill each other off it would be better for most of civilization. Most decent hard working people won’t live in those neighborhoods. I guess some don’t have much choice, like the children.
Jesse Watters should have gone on to wonder about the average black citizen living in those horrible black neighborhoods, how they probably want the police to come and control the thugs but can’t say so because the thugs-among-them will crack them on the head for saying so.

There was a “Blue Bloods” episode dealing with this issue recently. The decent people in the area want law and order, but are intimidated by the thug contingent. It’s a lose-lose situation for the police.
And the 90% of the press that has donated its soul to leftist propaganda won’t ever even mention this.
The police are labeled racist by the leftist powers that be not because of what they do or don’t do, but because of who they are.
Jesse Watters is the BEST!! He’s better than any of the hosts of the shows he’s been on! Smart as a whip....funny without being inane.
It’s not lose-lose for the police. Go in, do your job and when the pols open their blue blood yaps, let them know in no uncertain terms that the police union will no longer support Democrats.
Neighborhood will be clean within a week. And you get the benefit of the locals following the police.
Yep and the sooner whites wake up and realize that and act accordingly the better.
The catatonic chanters, empty vassals, “stupid Americas”/Gruber…when the rhymers find reason they’ll see that the men in blue weren’t the problem. It was their socialist overlords, the confiscate and control collective of higher ups, that kept them in intellectual and economic bondage. There are easier ways to eliminate the elite puppeteers than chanting/dying in the streets. The root cause of tyranny is not the leaves on the tree of liberty.
