What defines gender? Is it biology, the heart and mind, or some combination of both? As the debate surrounding transgender children swirls, one girl is sharing her personal story in the hope that she can help others.
Jazz Jennings was born a boy, but started to show leanings toward a feminine side at only 15 months old. By age 2, Jazz started to verbalize her feelings that "she was a girl," and by 5 she was one of the youngest people ever to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria ― a persistent unease with the characteristics of one's gender, accompanied by a strong identification with the opposite gender.
After the diagnosis, Jazz's incredibly supportive family decided to embrace her inner feelings and allowed her to start transitioning from male to female while she was only in kindergarten. Although she was teased on occasion, Jazz maintained her outgoing personality and never let anyone stand in the way of her confidence about her gender identity.
Now, at 14, Jazz has co-authored an illustrated memoir aimed at children called "I Am Jazz." The book chronicles the early years of Jazz's life, from her diagnosis to her struggles at school, and it's not just for kids in the LGBTQ community but for anyone who feels like they don't fit in.

Thanks to the takeover of the APA by flaming sodomites, the culture at large has been normalizing delusional psychoses and deviant sexual fetishes for about 40 years.
Oh please. My boy played with dolls, wore his mothers scarves and loved show tunes. He grew out of it and now he dates the hottest girl in school.
Kids grow out of these things. It’s the parents who need to be locked away.
The 'Transgendered' have a horrible suicide rate much to do with their own thoughts and Not to do with Society as a whole. Many take that step and find it's not as wonderful as they expected. 'Sex' is horrible and once found out by a male lover - Yikes.
Sexual sins affect the whole body, just as the Scripture says. Whether it's Transgendering, Adultery, Promiscuity or Homosexuality it pervades and changes the Soul. Is scars the conscious and much much more.
The Good News, however, is that the Lord Jesus Christ has died for the sins of folks like you and me. And that there is no sin which the Cross does not cover. By throwing it down upon the sin bearer and believing upon Him alone, forgiveness is found. And making Him Lord gives back life and life worth living again.
The World, the Devil and the Flesh offer these temptations which are better not experienced. Moses said "Choose Life" and that life is found for those that are broken in the forgiving eyes of Christ.
Boys will be boys. Really.
You can know for sure which gender God has assigned to you with one quick glance. It’s the biology, stupid.

Sometimes nature does make a mistake. There are genetic abberrations, and other factors which impact a person’s sex.
This is a different situation than homosexuality where an individual elects to follow an abonormal life style.
Just by looking at picures of this kid, there was a physical appearance which was not masculine and it went beyond dress or hairstyle.
Certainly a very sad story, but you can count on counter-culture freaks like Couric to remove it from the narrow context of a tragic genuine biological abnormality and project it onto the political stage as representative of a general homosexual “rights” issue.

If you were born with a penis and testicles you’re a boy.
If you were born with a vagina and ovaries you’re a girl.
Seriously, we figured this out ages ago.
It’s how we all got here.
God gave us our gender...just like he gave us our parents, nationality, forefathers, city of birth, etc.
The funny thing is, it’s always the left that wants biology over religion. But it doesn’t work in this case. Doh!

It's really an injustice to medical science to refer to this as a "debate". This was a semi-interesting little idea in the late 60s early 70s, kind of backwash from the sexual revolution, but after Hopkins closed their program, McHugh published what he did, and most surgery moved to Thailand, to call this a swirling debate is really a lie.
Calling sex “gender” is fundamentally a category error.
