This has been occurring for over one hundred years. The Islamic world especially in North Africa and the Mideast has been forced to confront the challenge of Western modernity. It would seem that Islamic culture is not compatible with the values, institutions, social and scientific advances that constitute Western modernity. Ataturk understood this and remarkably, he was almost successful in transforming Turkey. sadly his reforms have been largely abandoned. In fact Islamic culture is devolving into chaos and backwardness. The barbaric bizarre jihadists can best be viewed as bewildered, medieval reactionaries who are fighting to restore the customs, practices and even dress of the 10th century. While they avidly want and use the products brought forth by the West, the states they aspire to create will be inherently impoverished, chronically violent backwaters. Rational Westerners will avoid them.
Islamic culture must go through a painful transformation if it is to survive. However the future outlook is not good. The vast majority of the people are poorly educated, impoverished and fervent. This provides an endless supply of recruits to the fundamentalists who will fight the secular progressives to the death. Although Obama was referring to the white Christians that he despises, his famous quip is relevant. The Islamic masses cling to their guns and religion. The future is not bright. Westerners make the fundamental error of projection when they ascribe to Muslims the same values they have that have resulted in their well being and prosperity.

Islamic culture has survived, thrived, and conquered for 1300 years. It will conquer the West totally if the West does not resist totally and viciously. If America does not expel ALL of the Moslems within then America will not survive. Islam bids to accomplish the leftist dream of depopulating the earth. Moslem humanity cannot support population of even a third of what is now on semi arid sheep pasture which is what they will convert all the lands they conquer. They proliferate in their deserts now because of the bounty and the medicine of the West. When that is all conquered there will be no room for the existence of most of the Moslems and all of everyone else.

But then we really only need to worry about people with bad intentions when they have the capability to do harm.
In actual fact, the entire Muslim world only has capability to do harm to the West, and certainly to the USA, only to he extent we allow them to.
They have very nearly zero warfighting capability. Since such capability in the modern world is based on education and technology, their military capability is probably going backwards.
If we die, it will be by suicide, not murder. They are quite simply parasites on the modern world. Parasites we can squash anytime we decide to. Their only military capability is that we don’t want to do what is necessary to destroy them. That is no way to win a war.
For the authors benifit, we know what we are up against. We are not afraid to say it. Islam.

Why do you discount the possibility of their victory? They have enjoyed long periods of conquest before.
And now, they face an enemy who does not believe he can be defeated. Which, historically, is often a prelude to defeat.

Jim think of it this way. If the 1965 Green Bay Packers .were to plat the 2014 Seattle Seahawks, they would lose badly. If your culture is incompatible with modernity, it withers into a violent backwater incapable of real progress or sustainablity

If the 2014 Seahawks, believing the Packers were a joke of a team, certain to be beaten with minimal effort, and they then spent the week before the game drinking, smoking dope, watching scantily-clad girls engaging in simulated sex acts, and the coach then picked the starting lineup based on ethnic background and sexual preference, would the Packers still lose?
