Not to mention the obvious fact that the solution to "gun violence" - which can only realistically mean criminal acts carried out with guns - IS the people's inalienable right to own a gun. The Left has literally conflated gun ownership with the act of committing crimes with guns.
Stupid? I used to think so. Except if you conflate any other right with a crime, like, oh, free speech for example, the same liberals turn into Constitutional scholars. But then they go stupid again when you bring up freedom of religion for Christians. But then they turn into scholars when you invoke it for Muslims or atheists.
