I won’t excuse Brownback on immigration. He is a good governor and Kansas is lucky to have him. Beats Sibelius or Graves or Finney or.....

What Politico (and the Kansas lame stream) ignore is that these tax cuts were written and passed by liberals in the Kansas Senate, trying to play chicken with the Kansas House. The House called their bluff and passed them, too. That was the bill sent to Brownback . 9 of those worthless lib Senators were thrown out of office and they’re weeping and wailing over ‘Borwnback’s tax cuts’. If we had one journalist in this State, maybe a Politico wouldn’t fall for this.

Cut freakin spending!!!!! Republicans who cut taxes while keeping spending going up above inflation are fools. That’s not to say they should not cut taxes, but cut the F’ing spending. No one would feel a thing with a 10% to 15% spending cut — actual cut — in most states.

"He's running out of lard and is still in the red."

Fire more deadwood bureaucrats. Cut out all wasteful 'seminars", 'diversity' training sessions at expensive destination locations, mandatory sensitivity training, etc., etc. If he takes a close look, he'll find millions of $$$ buried for wasteful stuff buried under creatively written titles.

The lessons learned are only those of “Keynesian Republicans.” That is, they figured they could still continue to spend like drunken sailors, because slashing taxes would heat up the economy so much that money would flow like water again.

So now, true to form, they have learned the wrong lesson. So they don’t want to cut taxes, thinking that the gravy train will still chug along.

I think their problem is that they have never had to balance their families budget.

BS. Brownback won re-election by 4 points....and it likely would have been more if the Libertarian hadn’t taken 4% of the vote.

Plus he was targeted by every media outlet in the state....AND he was working in an environment where Pat Roberts was sucking up a lot of attention.

They were dumped in Kansas and you know it. Large groups of refugees came from Sudan and Somalia into Kansas.

If that’s so then that’s too bad. But when he was a senator Brownback tried to keep them out, even as he was one of the biggest cheerleaders for bringing in unsuitable refugees and dumping them in other states.
