My daughter went to that one year and she said it was just packed tight and you basically had to stay in one place the whole time. She said she is glad she did it but would not go again.

What you explained could turn out very very dangerous for example if an OWS thug was to fire a weapon or even a few shots, it would create utter chaos and stampede which is deadly in a crowd like that.
I wouldn’t put nothing passed those radicals.
I hope the police presence is overwhelming with many undercovers if possible.
These idiot protesters will be way outnumbered by New Years Eve crowds and could well end up getting their butts kicked hard. I hope.

Which way will De Blasio go. Will he want NYC to be showcased as a great destination on NY eve or will he tell the NYPD to lay back and let the act up crowd have pretty free rein? Also, how much has he coordinated with the organizers who are his kindred spirits?

I’ll bet not a single one of those protesters knows the name of Miriam Carey, an unarmed black mother gunned down by DC police for doing nothing more serious than driving too close to the emperor’s palace.
