MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The FBI sent a warning to local authorities about a possible plot to blow up a Memphis bridge.
The FBI told WREG it received an anonymous tip, and stressed that there is “no actionable intelligence” that something will happen.
All local law enforcement agencies have been alerted.

Hard to imagine that anyone in ISIS has ever heard of Memphis. But thank you president Obama for keeping us so safe!

According to Edward Snowden this is how the FBI acts on illegally obtained information from the NSA. I’m not saying that the threat isn’t real, just that the tip is probably not as anonymous as they’re saying.

Just a reminder, these are the idiots we've entrusted our national security to.
Since this is a specific bridge location, wouldn't you expect the police to stake out the Memphis Arkansas Bridge, and try to apprehend the bombers instead of blabbing this info to the public and thereby alerting the bombers that the police are on to their plot.
If there are in fact bombers, they will have to find another target now.
Perhaps a mall or a gathering at a sports event, church etc.- Tom
The nearest alternate river crossings are between 50 and 75 miles away. That would suck for travelers, but long-haul truckers would adapt quickly enough.
If *I* we in charge of selecting targets, I’d go straight to mid America. Memphis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Omaha. softer targets, malls, zoos, cinemas - and instant terror.
If they can strike the mall in Kansas City, or a bridge in Memphis, no one is safe.

I agree...but Memphis has turned into a very scary place run by some very questionable people. I moved back to TX from there only a few years ago. Thankfully my Daughter got out as well but I still have a Son there and it scares me half to death.
