An off duty St. Louis city police officer is recovering Saturday morning after being shot. He came under-fire while simply driving his personal vehicle north on 25th Street near Breman. That’s in north St. Louis.
Police say that the 28-year-old officer was fired upon just before 4:00pm. He was shot multiple times in the lower extremities. His wounds do not appear to be life threatening. The St. Louis Municipal Department says the officer is in critical but stable condition.

More than one LEO has lost his life in the line of duty in the past few months since this fergerson mess started. They are being deliberately targeted.
This is in a rural area just over the Tipton CO line from Memphis, TN which is Shelby Co crime capitol of TN.

Maybe a road rage incident if he was not in uniform?
Maybe he had a bumper sticker on his car that identified him as a member of law enforcement.
More like Police officers being targeted and stalked while off duty.
Incident happened 8 October 2014.
Remember reading about it (here, I believe) at the time because of the uphill shooting aspect and because of some early talk by the suspect’s relatives that the gun was a “sandwich.”

At this time I no longer can get FOX (problems with Dish) and watched CNN, saw not a word about him, not even about the case in Florida where an officer was murdered. Even RT covered the Florida case extensively.
Based on the news of the last few weeks no member of Law enforcement or Cuban should ever vote for a Democrat again!
The national news networks should be called the national filter an spin Corp.
You know, that “wounds are not life-threatening” meme is worthless. Not life threatening? Fine. How about “but probably will never walk again” or “paralyzed from the waist down. “Non-life threatening” is a useless descriptors to a patient’s condition.
So, are we to make every single shooting of a cop a national story? I don't think that makes any more sense than making every black criminal who gets shot a national story.
Condsidering it happened in North St. Louis county, near Ferguson, yeah, I’d think it worth covering.

Here is a follow up. The perp car driver was out of jail ONE day on PAROLE ! Another perp in the car got lead poisoning, presumably by the cop’s return fire, was found hours later burning to a crisp in a car fire. Third perp is still being sought. I can’t wait to find out which feral thought it was a good idea to light up the car with the lead filled perp inside. Cop is lucky to still have a greater than ambient temperature. Perps apparently lack sufficient range time. I believe the off-duty officer was targeted for assassination because of the color of his work apparel. He should be suing the Media. I am pleased he answered the assault with proper ‘gun control’ and scored one for the good guys. I hope the perp driver with the long record of stupidity and amazingly predictable skin tones is horizontally dispatched in my lifetime.
