A NYPD officer was assaulted at the precinct, suffering a broken arm.
Early reports indicate the perpetrator entered the precinct building and attacked the officer.
All members of the New York Police Department are on high alert.

We live in a small city and our police dept is the same way. Small reception area with one or 2 policemen sitting behind glass. If you go in to see someone they call them and you wait. They come out from behind a locked door. All police traffic is in and out an always locked door in the back of the building. You never see them.

I regularly “monitor” MSNBC, the Melissa Harris-Perry, show on the weekends to see what line they’re pitching. You didn’t miss anything today. MHP wasn’t on, some other host was filling in for her, and just like her, he was obviously only about 1/8 black. He had the usual cast of guests, other “black” intellectuals, most of whom appear to be no more than 1/4 to 1/8 black; the “community activist” black woman who really was black and of course, the tousled haired white professor expert on all things “white”.
The topics were the usual; (the MHP show only has two overall “themes”, women’s rights and oppression of black people). So, today, it was: 1) how the police and DA/Grand Jury situation needs to be reformed and 2) “White Privilege” and how stupid white people are about the fact that they’re all racist. Nothing new there. And then of course there was a discussion about the need for there to be a “national conversation” about race and how all the white pro/black activists should bring up the topic when they go to visit their white relatives for Christmas.
The “white privilege” thing sort of cracks me up. They need to watch the “Grapes of Wrath”. But that topic has become an industry in and of itself; black professors and professional “educrats” have been writing books and giving seminars on the subject and have made millions inserting the curriculum of “white privilege” into College courses.
The odd thing about the “white privilege” argument is that as they propound the whole idea and lecture on it, it starts to sound like a lot of sour grapes! Its kinda like, “well, hell, despite all the affirmative action and free housing and free food, free money, free housing and Obama phones and free loans to go to college...we STILL aren’t “White”!
Well, sorry, yea...there is that. But, I noticed it hasn’t stopped countless black Corporate CEO’s and entrepreneurs and military professionals and sports professionals from succeeding in life.
The one interesting thing brought up was their concern that as a result of these assaults on cops, and the back lash from what happens when cops respond to assault with deadly force, that the cops are now, apparently, no longer patrolling “black” neighborhoods and aren’t responding to 911 calls from those same neighborhoods.
That conversation made me think that it’s starting to dawn on them that all of this is creating new “no go” zones across the U.S., further segregating the black communities and re-ghettoization of the black population.
Another ill effect of this mess may well be the nail in the coffin of the bricks and mortar retailers. Yesterday and today they apparently protested in the thousands at malls across the U.S., including the “Mall of America”. We may well see a further retreat of the white middle class from the commercial/main street public square of trade. The white middle class doesn’t need the bricks and mortar stores; they can shop online and most of the white middle class folk I know have long since abandoned shopping at the malls and going to movie theaters.
So... Merry Christmas America...got ammo?

The guy is a nutcase. He walked in and asked if he would get a free meal in jail. He was told he would. So he threatened the cop right then and there. As the cops were subduing him one of them fell.

From the story I got, not really. He resisted the arrest and caused the injury. But it’s not like he went nuts and jumped the cop.
A few years back during video arraignments from the jail to the court, one guy kept holding his right arm at shoulder level. Eventually, the judge asked, “Alright, what do you want me to know about your arm? The guy kind of wept and said, The sergeant broke my arm. The judge didn’t miss a beat, and told him to quit fighting with the police. Next case.

Yes, they have their weapons, but if a citizen walks in as if he is going to ask a question then suddenly turns violent, the officer may not have time to react. If the cop had drawn his weapon on the punk just for how he looked, the cop would have been accused of profiling. Most of the time a cop knows a turd when he sees one.
They’re not allowed weapons in a precinct?
They are probably not allowed to use them against any persons of color.
So... will Obama order a new national police force to protect our state, city, and local police ?
