U.S. issues rare worldwide travel warning; hotels, shopping centers, schools among possible targets

The announcement, released by the State Department Friday, advises citizens to be "extra cautious, maintain a very high level of vigilance, and take appropriate steps to enhance their personal security." The warning comes following the Dec. 15 lone wolf attacks in Sydney, Australia this week in which two people died.
