JESSE JACKSON COMPARES HIMSELF, SHARPTON TO MLK IN RESPONSE TO RACE BAITING CHARGE
Breitbart ^ | 12/17/14

Tuesday on NewsMax TV's "MidPoint," Rev. Jesse Jackson addressed accusations of race-baiting by black leaders such as himself and Al Sharpton by comparing them to race baiting allegations from infamous segregationist George Wallace towards civil rights icon Rev. Martin Luther King. "I will tell you there are people who have appeared on this show before, who every time we discuss the leaders of the black movement in this country, they take your name and they put it in the same sentence as Al Sharpton and they say the two of you, people have said this on our show, are race baiting and you are not doing it properly, and you are not serving the needs of the black community," host Ed Berliner said. Jackson replied, "You know Dr. King was accused of being a race baiter as he fought the forces of the south, as he fought George Wallace," adding, "they called him a communist at the same time."

Video at link. If the shoe fits.... Race baiters, poverty pimps, opportunists, there's a lot of things we can call you so-called reverends.

If you thought it was dangerous to be white and on MLK Boulevard, wait until there’s Sharpton Ave, Jesse Jackson Road, or Barack Boulevard.

You won’t need a Google or Bing map app to know to stay clear.

He can say what he wants. The problem is, his actions speak louder than words.

One problem I see is that they are only worried about the black community. How about we all worry about the entire community instead of leaving out some?

Jackson and Sharpton are beyond useless.

Impala64ssa :"... there's a lot of things we can call you so-called reverends."

Unles they went to a formal theological college , and graduated
they are "River-runts" to me !
For jessie or Sharptongue to claim a comparison to MLK
is too ludicrious to even contemplate !
They have no Christianity in their hearts, only money , power , and self-aggrandizement.

Have you noticed that every MLK boulevard is in the absolute most awful section of town? Just wait until there is a path named for Sharpton or Jackson. It will probably be like Sherwood Forest where every person who enters will be robbed, many of whom will have already been robbed of their dignity by those two.

YES, and neither one of them is the equivalent of MLK!

MLK said ‘Never judge a man by the color of his skin but by the content of his character’.....

Neither of those pimps has any character, period. How dare they compare their sorry rear ends to someone who promoted peaceful protests.

Those two are more in alignment with MALCOLM X..who was violent and obnoxious, and a BLACK PANTHER.....

Yeah right. King suffered for his cause and paid the ultimate price. All Sharpton and Jackson have done is profited off their’s.

Of course, and that was why I commented.

I hate to sound "raisis", but it seems to follow that only a very black neighborhood would have a street named MLK boulevard, and those neighborhoods usually get worse and worse, until they're so bad no one lives there and they get gentrified. Maybe in 30 or 40 years, MLK Boulevards will be a decent address.

Stranger things have happened. In NJ, Hoboken was a major dump, but now it's come back--at least in the neighborhoods overlooking the river.

Martin Luther King wielded an enormous moral power. He spoke directly to the conscience of white America and wrought change by asking people to do the things that they knew in their heart were right, and that were consistent with their Christian convictions.

The Revs try to cloak their power grabs under similar vestments, but in their venality, they have alienated righteous whites. Their only support comes from gimmedats and guilt-ridden hand-wringers, and there isn’t enough moral weight in either of those groups to carry the agenda.

King blazed the trail with a Bible. Jesse and Al just followed behind him with a cash register.

I will take Malcolm X over these two charlatans!

Malcolm told the black community that the Democrats were using them and they should turn away from them, just before he was assassinated!

Besides, Malcolm X had convictions when he was young: stupid and misguided, but still he had convictions. These two jacka$$es are only in it for MONEY!!!
