RUBIO: OBAMA ATTEMPTS TO 'APPEASE ROGUE REGIMES AT ALL COSTS'
Breitbart ^ | December 17, 2014 | By Caroline May

Sen. Marco Rubio is expressing concern and frustration with the Obama administration’s plans to restore relations with Cuba.

“Today’s announcement initiating a dramatic change in U.S. policy toward Cuba is just the latest in a long line of failed attempts by President Obama to appease rogue regimes at all costs,” Rubio said in a statement Wednesday morning.

The Florida lawmaker, whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Cuba in the 1950s, said he was pleased that American Alan Gross have been freed from captivity in Cuba.

But Rubio sounded a negative tone about what the U.S. gave up in order to secure his release, namely three of the spies who were part of the “Cuban Five”.

“They were indicted and prosecuted in a court of law for the crimes of espionage and were linked to the murder of the humanitarian pilots of Brothers to the Rescue. There should be no equivalence between the two, and Gross should have been released unconditionally,” Rubio said.

Rubio continued, saying it is “inexplicable” that Obama has decided to normalize relations with Cuba, arguing that the recent loosening of travel restrictions has only served to benefit the Castro regime and business interests that are unconcerned with the reality on the ground.

“Cuba, like Syria, Iran, and Sudan, remains a state sponsor of terrorism,” Rubio said. “It continues to actively work with regimes like North Korea to illegally traffic weapons in our hemisphere in violation of several United Nations Security Council Resolutions. It colludes with America’s enemies, near and far, to threaten us and everything we hold dear. But most importantly, the regime’s brutal treatment of the Cuban people has continued unabated.”

According to Rubio, the incoming chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Western Hemisphere subcommittee, Obama’s appeasement will only serve to embolden...

OBAMA EMBRACE THE CUBAN GENOCIDE REGIME

A Marxist leaning Pope blessed the Marxist American president embrace of Castro's genocide communist regime condemning the Cuban enslaved people to eternal damnation. On the deal Castro liberated an American illegally imprisoned in Cuba in exchange for the freedom of three Cuban spies serving prison terms in U.S. and the normalization of relations with a country that occupied for decades a top position in the list of the State Department ‘s terrorist countries.

The Cuban regime tried to obliterate New York and Washington with a nuclear attack during the October Missile Crisis of 1962. “In November 1962, the Castro brothers’ and Che Guevara’s agents had targeted Macy’s, Gimbels, Bloomingdales, and Manhattan’s Grand Central Station with a dozen incendiary devices and 500 kilos of TNT. The Holocaust was set for detonation the following week, on the day after Thanksgiving.” (Humberto Fontova)

Castro has been a strong ally of Islamic terrorism. Cuba continues to serve as a base for coordination and mutual support among transnational terrorist organizations. At Tehran University he stated to the thunderous applause of students and faculty, "The imperialist king will finally fall,” (AFP, May 10, 2001). Immediately afterward the Iranian Press Service proudly proclaimed that "Iran and Cuba reached the conclusion that together they can tear down the United States.” (IPS, May 10, 2001).

According to World renown and highly respected American investigative journalist and author, Claire Sterling, : “All of the world’s emerging terrorist bands in the 1970’s were indebted to the Cubans and their Russian patrons for that honeycomb of camps around Havana. None could have started without rudimentary training, and those who didn’t train in Cuba were trained by others who did.” (“The Terror Network, The Secret War on International Terrorism.”)

As reported by Sterling, “Castro was training the advance guards of the coming European fright decade – Palestinians, Italians, Germans, French, Spanish Basques – and forming guerrilla nuclei in practically every Western hemisphere state south of the American border. As far back as 1962, Castro’s camps were taking in 1,500 Latin American guerrillas a year. . ‘Any revolutionary movement anywhere in the world can count on Cuba’s unconditional support,’ declared Castro at the 1966 Tricontinental Conference in Havana”. It was then and there that the international terrorism network was consolidated under Castro’s leadership.”

It is suicidal turning a blind eye to Castro, a deadly enemy at 90 miles south of Key West that does not hide his hatred for U.S.

To complete Obama’s betrayal of the American people, with the normalization of relations comes the opening to Cuba of the American and International bank credits that will sustain the Cuban regimen passing to the American taxpayers the same heavy burden that helped to bankrupt the Soviet Union.

Miami, the heart of the Cuban exile community, reacted with a collective shock. Hardline opponents of the Castro regime lambasted the president for what they called a betrayal. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo, a Republican whose father was a pilot in the 1996 Brothers to the Rescue mission, called the Democratic president a sellout.

“The Cuban exile community that has made a foundation out of standing firm against the Castro government has been, in essence, sold out,” he told the Miami Herald.

I heard Rubio and he said some things that need to be said. He did not do a bad job.

Bruce Herschenson pointed out how Obama has done this exactly as Jimmy Carter did it in 1978 when he formed diplomatic relations with the Chinese Communists.

They both waited until mid December, right after Congress went home to make the announcement. Carter on Dec. 15, 1978.

Doubt anyone learned a lesson on the rino/republican side. The rino/republican side just gave obama everything he wanted in the Spending Bill (last week) and obama knifes them in the back. rino/republicans never learn.

He said “Obama is the worst negotiator ever.”

Also said rogue countries the world over will start kidnappong Americans to use as bargaining chips, given Obama’s proclivity to surrender.

If we weren’t totally in bed with the ChiComs, statements like this might carry more weight. Or even any at all.

What’s really up? Alan Gross is hardly a poster boy for Cuba’s nationalized health care (Michael Moore will, of course, be commentless). The details of the ‘not really an’ exchange are murky at best and demand scrutiny. Elitist travel restrictions are still in place - just in case Cousin Jim gets the idea to spend a few months running rum, I suppose. If the intent was trying to secure the Cubano vote away from Rubio, then Zero has seriously underestimated those Cubanos older than he, who will turn out in droves in response and not in a good way for the Democrats. (And what is the Cubanos legal standing now to sue Castro for the homes and lands and lives lost?) What is Zero really doing? Is he poking a stick in the eye of the party who benched him during midterms, or is he poking a stick at the Bear?
