Graham crackers were part of the near religious dietary prescriptions of Sylvester Graham, a prominent member of the swarm of antibellum cranks and utopians that later morphed in to the socialists that want to run all aspects of everyone’s lives today.
Those crackers were on teh snack list at the elementary schools I attended. Wretched things tasted like slightly flavored sawdust.
