ALBANY — The Cuomo administration announced Wednesday that it would ban hydraulic fracturing in New York State, ending years of uncertainty by concluding that the controversial method of extracting gas from deep underground could contaminate the state’s air and water and pose inestimable public-health risks...
That conclusion was delivered publicly during a year-end cabinet meeting called by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo in Albany. It came amid increased calls by environmentalists to ban fracking, which uses water and chemicals to release natural gas trapped in deeply buried shale deposits.

Better yet, Cuomo should sic Lt. Governor-elect & “native daughter” Kathy Hochul on this State tax generator to try having him divest from the technology…

Even the EPA has said that fracking is safe. Believe that the National Academy of Sciences or a similar group also came to that conclusion, yet “Cuomo” the crook is against it.
Wonder how many New Yorkers won’t be getting new jobs for Christmas and beyond?
If you haven’t seen them, New York State (i.e. Comrade Cuomo) is running TV ads touting “Come to New York” for businesses who will not be taxed for 10 years or so.
A sign of desperation if you are losing so many other companies heading south that you have to advise that you have space available.
No sane business should ever go to NY state as long as the Democrats and reds (DeBlasio) run/ruin it. The gun-rights laws, business rights laws, tax laws, and environmental laws are all stacked against the honest citizen/worker.
All we can hope for is an indictment in the future when the Republicans take the presidency in 2016, of what Cuomo did when he was Secy of HUD. Hope the statute of limitations hasn’t run out yet. He deserves to be in jail for being the crook that he is.

Only some of it - the area north of 88 (my daughter and son in law live there) is not in the watershed. There is no excuse for Cuomo’s horrible decision. The area is desparate for jobs and struggling in poverty, and Cuomo caters to Manhattan.
My daughter is a nurse and our son in law has diary cows, so they are OK, but many of their neighbors are struggling.
Hussein will use this as a reason to deny it all over the nation.
