Senate May Confirm Up To 88 Federal Judges (total of 303 lifetime Obama judges)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Impeded no more by Republican blocking tactics, Democrats are on track to win confirmation of up to 88 of President Barack Obama's top judicial nominations this year, a total that would be the highest for any president in two decades.

Last year, Democrats made it harder for Republicans to derail Obama's nominations by weakening the Senate's rule on filibusters. So far this year, the chamber has approved 76 federal court of appeals and district court judges, all of them lifetime appointments. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is hoping to confirm a dozen more before adjournment later this week - votes he is pushing with the knowledge that the Republicans who control the Senate next year will be less accommodating.

Before this newest wave of nominees, I heard that Obama has appointed about 1/3 of all federal judges serving today.

And they are lifetime appointments.

The impact of Obama will be felt long after he’s gone, due to these judges he has appointed. Count on reliable liberal decisions from these judges for decades to come.

Hence the need for a constitutional amendment to reign in the power of the federal courts.

Lifetime appointments...until they get impeached.

The republicans should pass a rule that you just need 51 votes to impeach, and then President Cruz can sign into law each impeachment.

Can’t Pubbies drop a blue card if the nominee is from their state, and stop the nomination?

Oh, but that would require actually doing something.

Once again, like the election of 2014 and the budget CR, the GOP is caught flatfooted with neither a plan nor a strategy.

Can we do away with the lame-duck session of congress altogether? Nothing good ever comes of it.

Why are you saying the Rep. are blowing it?

The power is with the majority which right now is with the Rats. The Rats decided to change the senate rules and there is nothing that the GOP could do about it. Nothing.

To blame the GOP is ridiculous. You should be blaming the Rats.

“Can we do away with the lame-duck session of congress altogether? Nothing good ever comes of it.”

A new congress used to meet in December, but the 20th Amendment changed it so it’s in early January.

The judges Repubs appoint have a way of all turning against the sheeple and the Bible.

The idea that we need a Repub President to save us from “bad” judicial appointments is a canard.

The only time the Federal government really slows down in carrying out the program of new world order financial elites is when Congress is controlled by one party and the Presidency by the other party.

The elites want a Repub President next time out because Congress will be Repub controlled. If the Presidency is also a Repub, Fed gove can then proceed full force with the programs of the globalist elites, unfettered by having to maintain the illusion that the two parties “oppose” each other.

The program will include:

* increasing the domestic spying program
* giving law enforcement the resources it needs to far overstep its bounds
* exporting wars and revolutions with full public support other than token objections by the left
* at the end of the Repubs term, have the leftist media effectively mock and denigrate the Repub President’s actions during his term, thus disparaging the Repub party in general and allow Dems to take Congress and the Presidency again, running on an “anti-war” platform
* allow big business and big finance to continue their “war on sheeple”, e.g., getting rid of good-paying jobs in America, introduce investing scams, etc.; just a continuation of what always goes on, just with public support from the conservative sheeple because “their guy” is in the White House.
* basically continue all the current policies, that is, new world order agenda, but with public support from the conservative sheeple because “their guy” is in the White House.
* continue to NOT lead in turning America back to Jesus Christ, but continue to increase anti-Christ work of the elites by embracing religious pluralism and labeling Bible-believing Christians as being “extreme” in their views. This will happen even if the most conservative choice for Repub President is made; any of the choices on the ballot will follow the elites’ programs once elected.

Fine, sauce for the goose would be in order. The next Republican President will get to hammer home his nominees and even the field. Ahhh, but not so fast, not with the McCain collaborator wing of the Republican party large and in charge. They will ensure that for every twenty Obama judges appointed, the Republican president will get one.

The confirmations will continue once the GOPe takes over the Senate. Do not get your hopes of for a fight over judges.

Yeah, that’s a problem. Congress should be out of session once the election is over. How is our government a representative one if it’s tied to votes cast by people who were just voted out of office?

What was the logic behind changing it from December to January?

......the appointments are ALL illegal anyway because Obama is illegitimate. I know many will disagree but their day of reckoning will come “someday”.

Half of us Freepers might not be around to see this “day of reckoning” of the Obama regime players but, in the meantime, we can find some solace that many of them will find life very unfulfilling and perhaps very short in years to come. One at a time they will go down in flames as hundreds of Dims nationwide just did!

When I think of Obama and his illegal machine, I’m reminded of the Israeli’s pursuing Nazi’s. 70 years later they are still doing it. The TRUTH surrounding the “Obama” story (rise and fall) and those that pulled the levers and greased the skids to make it happen will be leaking out one story at a time over the next half century.

When the republicans take over then they should refuse every nomination during the remainder of Obama’s term. But that won’t happen.

Wow. I had no idea it was that high. I knew that Clinton had really politicized the Justice Department in an unprecedented way. The combination will gum up the works for generations.
