Top Republican leaders in the House and Senate are gearing up to push legislation in the next Congress that would increase the number of foreign guest-workers even in industries that do not need them. They are hoping such legislation would "open the door" to a broader comprehensive immigration bill.

We graduate more STEM graduates each year than the available jobs. This is just crony big business and anti STEM worker.
It’s mind boggling how determined they are to ram this down our throats.
Time for the Tea party to reach out to STEM workers. Large corporations can out spend individuals, but if all STEM workers were motivated, it would cancel them out.
Wasting little time in showing their true colors after the elections. These GOPe characters are as bought and paid for as a high class hooker booked in advance.
And we pretend to wonder why more Americans don’t go into science and engineering fields...
Could it be because the H1-B visas have driven engineering salaries so low it’s just not worth the long hours of study required to get an engineering degree?
U.S. companies by and large just want the cheapest engineer at the lowest possible cost, and nevermind whether he’s going to take all that company’s secrets back to China or India with him in a few years.
The GOP is stealing jobs from American workers.
But hey, they can live on SSI and EBT.

You’re absolutely right Vince. Not counting us masters out there that couldn’t find a job if we paid them. My local university is actively courting foreigners because they pay double the local tuition. Guess who gets cut out of jobs. It doesn’t take a degree in statistics to read the tea leaves.

They don’t want to be ideologically opposed to Democrats. They just want to be “the Better” Democrats. If that takes fiscal insanity, abdication of sovereign responsibility and a total disregard for the laws and Constitution, they do not care. What is important here is that they have power.
I’m all for that; the people who want to work here as guest workers can apply at American Consulates in their home country. No advantage in sneaking in.
