John Boehner and the rest of the GOP RINO establishment didn’t have enough Conservative votes to pass their $1.1 TRILLION budget. That’s because while these so-called “Republicans” criticized Obama’s amnesty in public, their budget completely funded it.
More than 60 Republicans voted against the spending bill, forcing Boehner to get approximately 50 Democrats to vote for it.
GOP leaders blocked any anti-amnesty amendments and allowed the bill to proceed without any mention of Obama’s amnesty. That means that newly “legalized” illegal aliens will begin receiving working papers and become eligible for Social Security and Medicare as soon as they come of age.
Meanwhile, Congress also passed the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act and guess what: they actually went through with cutting pay for our soldiers…

Someone who screamed like a chick in a horror flick about electing the ‘lesser evils’ that did this, really needs to be apologizing to America before complaining about the consequences of her actions.

Indeed. But they only got the power to BE bastards because of the sycophants that put them in office. They did not get where they are to do what they do without help. And in this case, they SCREAMED what they would do if sent back to DC. In some cases the newbs were quite open about it as well. They ran as RINOs from day 1 and nobody...NOBODY had an excuse for electing them.
But the worst are the frauds who claim pious conservatism while demanding ‘party unity’ because ‘the dem is worse’. They knew they were lying because thats what liberals do. And they pushed for this openly. They pushed for the people that passed this mess. And they should be treated accordingly.

This certainly seems a drastic action. I looked at the cited link and there was much the same as in this excerpt.
I guess my question is this. What exactly is getting cut? Actual rate of pay? Planned increases in pay getting cut? Benefits getting cut? Just not many specifics here.
I have been able to find a 1% base pay increase but a 5% reduction over time in the housing allowance which creates a net loss for those living off base. Other benefits are being cut back as well which would increase costs.
Even though all of this could be considered a net pay cut since costs are increasing and base pay increases don't keep up with an increased cost of living, I can't find anything about an actual reduction in base pay, only benefits.
The military pay cuts are just the follow-up to cutting MediCare to pay for ObamaCare; that didn’t receive nearly the attention it deserved, and was an opportunity for Repubs to grab a critical Dem constituency (retirees).

Yes they got cut. I think some people are missing the big picture.
The military, who puts their life on the line everyday, is being told there is not enough money in the budget.
However, at the very same time the very same congress, led by John Boehner and Mitch McConnel, passed new entitlements for lawbreakers (aka the Illegal Immigrants) and made sure Obamacare was funded.
So never mind the election...... The GOPe is not going to listen to the voters. Now you know why the Administration is so confident. He knows John Boehner and Mitch Mcconnell are in his back pocket. When the cards are on the table they will support the Administration. It does not matter what they say.
Thus there was money. John Boehner and Mitch Mcconnell lied and cut the pay to the very people that put their life in harms way everyday.
Oh but I’m sure there is money too for a congress increase in pay. When was the last time congress had their pay cut???
What a dilemma....would I rather have the Marines defend me or Boehner?

Under Ocare they decide if and how much treatment you will get. That tells me they want to and will let a lot of people die and need cheap labor to replace them with. The treatment our soldiers are getting will drive out the last of the remaining decent soldiers, the Feds fear them. That fear is the reason soldiers who have went to a shrink are not allowed to own guns after they get back to the states. O’s work is about complete. Prepare to fight, they are going to get us one way or the other. BTW, they will gut all retirement plans and Medicare, hide your assets. God bless and good luck.
