A hostage has been forced to hold up an Islamic State flag in the window of a shop in Martin Place that is currently under siege.
It is believed there are 12 hostages in the store and an ISIS flag has been placed in the window.
Martin Place is the main financial area of the Sydney CBD.

Yes, we have guns - but handguns are rare. And that’s what might make a difference here.
I do have a handgun licence but not many people do. And it took a lot of paperwork to get it.

CNN, as usual, is incorrect. It isn't an ISIS flag. It's a shahada flag.
Plain ol' muzzie, not just ISIS muzzie. CNN is probably trying to differentiate.
