Amongst the findings were shoes and photos hidden by Jewish prisoners of the Holocaust. PRAGUE - House owners rebuilding their attic in the Czech town of Terezinhave found photos, shoes and other possessions of Jews forced into a ghetto there under Nazi rule, a heritage project said on Thursday.
Terezin (Theresienstadt), a fortress and garrison town built at the end of the 18th century, was used by the Nazis as a transit camp for Jews rounded up in Czechoslovakia and deported from elsewhere in Europe. They were held in the ghetto until they could be transported to camps farther east.
Nearly 160,000 Jews went through Terezin. Most perished either there or in the death camps of Nazi-occupied eastern Europe. The camp remained in operation from autumn of 1941 till its liberation in May 1945 The discovery of the objects, some of which bore their owner's names, was disclosed by the Ghetto Theresienstadt project

I think Theresienstadt was a "model" concentration camp which the Nazis would take gullible foreigners to in order to show them that the concentration camp conditions weren't so bad.
A half day tour through Terezin, a strangely silent town, is quite sobering,....same with the Jewish sector tour in Prague.....they should be forced tours for Europeans and Americans.
Amazing how many people are holocaust deniers .
I didn’t have to be forced ...... visited as many of those sites as possible when I was stationed in Europe during my military career..... Took my wife and son along, my family. Sobering education and experience to see, sit and soak in what was hell for their families ..... never forget.
Of my husband’s family living in Germany at the time, only (newly graduated) Dr Elsbeth Gethorsam was determined and able to escape the oncoming Holocaust. She boarded the last ship to depart from Nazi Germany and was standing on deck when Nazi submarine stopped the ship, searching for Jewish passengers. She was standing at the railing and was determined to jump over board if identified. She survived to become one of the most respected practicing psychiatrists in the South. Spoke fluently with a pronounced German accent for the remainder of her life.
There was no record to be found of his remaining relatives in Europe.
Just like the Armenian holocaust, perpetrated by our “allies” the Turks a century or so ago, are conveniently swept under the rug of history.
But horrendous photographs of that time period still exist.
Muslims have been doing this holocaust since the 7th Century.

Getting ready for another one in their guest country as soon as their numbers have reached a certain level.
