Feckless fools like those "leading" the Republican Party are doing more harm than good.

This country desperately needs a hero. So far, none has appeared.

Unless a hero emerges the U.S.A. is doomed. Pray that a hero will burst forth to lead this nation. America has always been able to produce what is necessary. She can now. If there is such a hero, he (or she) will declare himself, and his rise to leadership will be inexorable.

AMERICAN HERO, WHERE ARE YOU?

YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU!

I don’t know why the US Senate website doesn’t carry that info, it would seem logical, but Democrats aren’t.

I understand these newly elected people are in orientation, and have been since shortly after the election.

Here is a link to a good place for political and government content, and an article today on your question:

Here is a quote on the date:

“The Senate will meet for organizational day on Jan. 6, where leaders will be formally elected and rules for the 2015 session will be passed.”

Hope that is what you wanted.

Sane Americans are horrified by U.S. decadence and the corruption of U.S. politicians, the news media, and much of the intelligentsia.

When they begin to coalesce into a unified movement, they will seize control of the destiny of the U.S.A.

Just what will cause this coalescence to occur cannot be foreseen right now. But when it happens, their anger and outrage will be transmuted into meaningful action, and the world will see--yet again--the power of American puissance and imagination.

The decadents will tremble.

The good will rejoice.

And the world will be overcome with awe at the sheer power of goodness, truth, and decency.

The Nuclear Option: If Republicans Don't Fight Now, They Never Will

Does anyone really need to guess which option McConnell/Boehner will choose?

Agree, only strong states will bring America back around, as they brought us up in the first place.

Incorrect: The United States is...

Correct: The United States are...

IMO if we gave the GOP a 60 seat majority in the Senate they would still be a majory effing disappointment.

“if the GOP won’t fight now, then we’ll see the rise of the Tea Party, and the demise of the Republicans.”

No we won’t. We will see a lot of bluster, some strong comments, but in the end they will do what they always do. Ramp up for an election then fade into the woodwork.

If the TEA Party wants to do something, they need to act now, get behind someone and fight back against the Establishment. There are millions of TEA party members all across the country. Be a force. Pick an advertiser on MSNBC and boycott them until they drop advertising.

We learned nothing from Reagan. That’s the sad part.

This seems more a strategy to silence conservatives.

Look for presidential candidates to be give a free symbolic no vote.

call the house switchboard. 2pm is the vote.

The GOPe is doing just what their masters tell them. Plus they are voting with the DEM’s because they want the same outcome/things.

See my tagline, He is controlling everything and His will is going to be accomplished, just exactly as he said it would be.
